Wish I had the tq you had! I hate how mine is so low.

It's your FRPP intake manifold that kills your torque. I had the FRPP intake manifold and swapped it for delete plates and lost a little HP but gained torque.

FRPP manifold: large plenum volume and short runners = more horsepower less torque. It moves the powerband higher. Longer runners and smaller plenum work better at low rpms and shorter runners with larger plenum at high rpms.

horsepower = (torque * rpm) / 5252

This is what I got out of regular bolt ons, 127500 cams, FRPP intake and TB with 110 MM JLT CAI. Stock Heads.

377? Jesus that's insane!

Edit: valve springs make that much of a difference??

hate posts like this. some of us don't have the money

I used the same logic in buying my BBP 5.0 since I did not have the cash for mods, but I could get a 5.0 for 0% finanancing and on X-plan. I actually lowered my monthly payments by trading in my '08 Bullitt and I have an extended warranty and maintenance included for the next 5 years.

The new Boss also sacrifices torque for high-end HP using a similar manifold.

Exactly, for the price he could pay for full boltons(i/h/e, cams, heads, intake manifold.) trying to get to 400hp, he could do a down payment on a car and get basically same payments. I got my 12 brand new for 27500 with brembos and 3.73 gear. New car. Power he wants. Warranty and he's still Cali legal.

I didn't have to put anything down - just signed and drove out the door. Actually, had to put $200 down since I had them roll in the FRPP power pack into the financed amount. I was paying 7.24% interest on the Bullitt, so getting 0% made all the difference.

Wow that's some pretty serious torque....Headers and a catted xpipe would be pretty good additions. I'll look into doing similar mods when I get the chance.

That is a ton of torque. I have essentially same mods and nowhere near that power. What kind of dyno was this done on?

dyno dynamics, so likely a bit inflated.

Numbers don't matter to me, she runs good :thumb2:

Mine was done on a dyno dynamics and I felt it was maybe a bit optimistic as well. But your right, it doesn't matter what it puts down it matters how fast it goes :clap:

What are you mods?

I doubt it would make a difference on the dyno, but I also have an Alum driveshaft.
