I'm waiting on seats and aluminum ds. My convertible weighed 3440 today empty with a few things removed. Stereo, rear seat, trunk liner, front swaybar, Steeda rad support, or x, Both air bags. Damn convertibles are heavy. I've got a long way to go.....

3440 doesn't sound bad for a vert. Isn't the couple like 3550 stock?

Very nice . thinking on going to carbon fibre doors and wanted to see if it was worth the weight savings as I was going to re instal the power windows . Tru carbon has started making a stck style & outlaw style door . Thanks for the info . I watch your build all the time . Amazing !

The carbon fiber doors are worth the money I think. They just aren't in the budget for me right now

Where do you find out about this? I don't see them listed on their website.

Tiger Racing makes carbon doors for road race S197s that weigh in at 5-6lbs each. They're on Chicane23's web store.

They're not cheap, though.

An alternative (using this term lightly ) to the tiger racing hood is this seibon SSII style hood:

Seibon states its lighter than oem but not sure by how much.

Weighed in at the track yesterday. I'm at 3300 with me in it. I'm 200. So the car is down to 3100. There is not much more I can take away.

Have you posted what all you've taken off of your car to get to 3100lbs?
