I have the Kirkey pro drag seats (I think they are called) in my daily driver and it's a mixed bag for me. I should have kept my stock seats because getting in and out of the car is comparable to having a cage in your car (wife hates them). Also if you have a stock steering wheel (big) leg clearance could be an issue and sliding your legs under the steering wheel will wear out the material faster. With that said I don't mind the ride they actually have some pretty thick foam in the bottom. I'm new here, hope this helps. If not over look the new guy.Guess I'll go with Kirkey
stock 2010+ gt500 wheel (non perf-package) 19x9.5 = 34.9

I did a search on this thread and the question has been asked, but I don't anyone has put a number on it. How much does the fenders weigh? Also how much does the front bumper cover weigh? I am actually looking at a fiberglass front clip (25 pounds for fenders and front). My friend owns a body shop so it shouldn't be to bad for the work and paint. Thanks
this is a great weight reduction thread, actually the best I've read for any car. A few questions here, does anyone know of a carbon fiber intake manifold. I know they make one for the corvette but I've been looking for a mustang one and can't find it. Also I think the idea of a carbon fiber flywhelel would also be awesome, any input on that.
Thanks for the input. I need more. Does anyone know where I can buy:
Billet Block
Billet Heads
Titanium exhaust
titanium headers
I know there expensive but If I bought a pair of carbon fiber brakes for the front then I'm willing to save some cash up for any of the above.
your the one that doesn't you what your talking about. First read and then post because right know you are sounding like an Idiot. Anyways, the corvette Z06 comes equippe with a titanium exhaust, the reason is because it is lighter than aluminum and steel.
Sadly no one makes titanium exhaust/headers for our cars. Theres just no market for extremely expensive exhausts here.
@dusterRT: I dont think u can make exhausts from aluminum? Its too soft. Titanium is MUCH lighter than the typical stainless steel used while holding heat and strength well. And it also gives it that sexy ass burn coat after its exposed to heat.
