It is very presumptive of you to assume that Jim didn't datalog the runs and check them out.

I highly doubt that those kinds of gains were attainable.

Before we began he asked me if I only wanted an A/F check or whatever was required.

I told him to do whatever needed to be done.

If he thought he could get any more out of it he could have charged me a few hundred dollars more for a full custom tune since I told him he had free reign.

He gave me a couple of recommendations such as closing down my spark gap to 0.030" instead of 0.032".

The bottom line is the car is putting down amazing numbers for a D/A of 1300' on stock internals with a safe A/F ratio.

Yep I was making an assumption & like doc said (Hawgman) he's putting out those numbers with a larger pulley & if I recall correctly they were corrected numbers. I thought JDM could do better - thats all.

That's going to be a little difficult since I went from 4.10's down to 3.55's

I'm also in the process of going from 17" ET Streets to 15" ET Street Radials if I can sell the practically new 26x10 15" ET Drags I got with the new rims.

My best runs were 11.427 @ 119.92 with 4.10's on the 3.4" pulley 1.61 60'

11.70 with 3.55's on the 3.4" pulley

I hear ya on the variables in the et equation, but it'll sure be fun trying won't it :onfire:

Dynos are tools to help the car before on the street and on the track. I respect them, but they are not the be all end all of performance. His ET's speak for him.

Don't pull me in on that one!... My car has always been a freak and responded well to mods. Hell, I was at 417 with the stock 4" pulley.
I didn't mean any disrespect to Peter at all, and honestly, didn't pay attention to what pulley he said he was running until my 2nd read through the thread to catch up on the replies.

Speaking of JDM tunes, HPP called me today to ask me about a pulley. They have some cat's car there that has a JDM tune, JDM CAI, running a 4" pulley and it was only throwing down 360ish.

Montreal Qc,
How was the air for that run? Doesn't look like it was as good as you've had before, so maybe there is more in it on a good day.
D/A was 1400' and I couldn't shift for shit that day.

Whenever I try to baby the car shifting it throws me off.

I do much better when I drive it like I hate it.

Thump, those are sweet numbers and even sweeter ET's.
I would like to ask the rest of you, since when is 500rwhp with a twin screw on a safe tune and stock bottom end something to question??

congrats Peter...
now about that A/F at 12:1? I have been seeing where they are liking it a bit leaner...I always believed 11.5 was right for a S/C car...What did they have to say about that?
Jim has actually started running his car a bit leaner too.....he told me so

Montreal Qc,
Why do you sell them ? to small for you ? i need to change my ET Drag 28x10.5 15 for something smaller.

We could swap hehehehehe

I need to run drag radials for the Ultra Stang Class at Fun Ford Weekend.

I want a short a tire as possible since I'm running 3.55's.

He didn't seem at all concerned about the A/F ratio.

As I said before I gave him carte blanche to make any changes necessary so I guess he was fine with it.
