As far as the chatter goes, I had the same problem on my 235/45/17 street tires. I make sure there is at least 35 psi in the rear tires. I do a burn-out to heat the tires and spin the oils off.
Some people say that a burn-out for street tires is not needed, but I disagree. The track is rubberized, there is glue all over it, and making sure your tires tread is flat, clean, and hot regardless of if they are slicks or not really helps!
I am sitting on 5500 to 6000 RPMs, dumping the clutch and flooring it. My 60' is never more than 1.95 (if i srew up the clutch work), mostly 1.85 to 1.89, and I get ZERO spin off the line. If there is no spin, there is no chatter and no wheel hop. Plus, I am still running the stock 235/45/17's.
