was thinking of doing the eibach springs or cobra jet springs, they really don't lower the car much, i know the eibachs are .6 front and nothing rear

i'd rather not use them if i don't have to do to the sway bar sitting on them when it's relocated

I just installed Roush rear springs in my car to level it off. I hate the jacked up look. Car looks much better now. Everything fits just fine and that's about a 1 inch drop. It even appears the axle is centered so I may not need the adjustable panhard bar I bought used from a member here.

appreciate an answer, but what does that have to do with control arm placement for drag racing on a non lowered car??

A modest drop shouldnt be that big of an impact. Go park the car on level ground and look at the LCA. If the back of the LCA, the part attached to the axle, is lower than the front you should be fine. You dont want that reversed, with the back higher than the front. That will drive your rearend up on acceleration, rather than down (so to speak) hurting traction.

Just trying to say that a small drop shouldn't change the geometry very much. If you are happy with the stock geometry then you should be fine. If not then you will still need some tweeking.

What does your LCA look like now? Is the front of the LCA higher off of the ground vs the rear of the LCA where it bolts to the rearend? If yes then you don't need them. A picture is worth a thousand words, I post these every once in a while, I made these diagrams on my Mac a while back.

Note I state this is for drag racing---not corner carving where ideally you would want the LCA parallel to the ground.

lol,

well, i haven't done anything with the car yet. I plan on doing the cobra jet springs since they are so inexpensive. Compared to the eibach kit at almost $300

When I installed my Roush rears, the LCA bracket was needed as the rear mount was higher than the front. I have not really checked the LCA angle since swapping in the CJs... but the car has zero wheel hop issues, so I probably will not mess with it.
