ill say this again for people to understand.the 0 on the angle finder dosent count for reference when setting pinnion angle.your reference is your drivesahft angle if you have a 2 piece and on a one piece is gonna be the transmission flange.
i keep getting mixed on where to measure this thing?
some say input output shaft, but in the youtube vid for stang tv, they measure where i have the arrows?
so is where i have marked the correct places to measure?

on a one piece you measure trans flange and pinion flange.
Exactly. One note....the tranny flange will be down and the pinion flange will be up....but the same number of degrees. THEN point the Pinion down 2-3 degrees from where it was when it was the same as the trans flange....make sense?no man.if the tranny flange is 2 degrees positive then you set pinnion flange at 0 on the angle finder.this will net you a -2 degrees.forget about doing math on this.all you doing is going a couple of degrees under what the transmision flange is beacuse when you accelerate the pinnion is gonna rotate upwards and will align itself with the transmission flange.
to make it easy set the pinnion flange the same exact as the transmisison flange.once there set the pinnion down(-) 2 to 3 degrees or whatever you want.
