This man speaks the truth. Their is no need in most cases for a custom dyno tune when all you have are basic boltons.

I've always had that clunk when it downshifts into 2nd. It doesn't have anything to do with cams. These trans do not operate off vacuum either.

The only time I have not seen the downshift clunk is when the trans tuning is at stock settings where it won't downshift until the RPMs are close to idle. This trans just doesn't like to downshift if the RPMs are too much above that it seems.

Im guessing you run a 1 piece driveshaft to? I think thats whats clunking from the rough tranny downshift. I didnt think vacum had anything to do with these trannys shifting. thanks.
