Since this has become the all might Paxton FI thread, I'm gonna ask here rather than make a new thread.

Who here has added a meth kit to their Paxton setup? How has it responded? What have you gotten out of it? Do you recommend it, if so which one? All other info as well. Ready? GO!

Are you thinking of adding it for detonation prevention to save your motor ? Are you wanting more boost? Your already on the ragged edge of your short block now ... Save your dollars for a forged bottom end and back out of the boost/timing while you do .. Just an option not for sure what your goal is .... I'm stashing cash for my shortblock now and living with lower boost and timing while I do

I wouldn't say I'm at the ragged edge with my setup. Ragged edge would be in the tune, and my tuner is being super safe.

I'm just interested in the ability to add timing and make more power while doing it safely with meth. I wanna know if any 2200 guys are running it and what they are working with

how much power do you make now?

Not a clue... Over 600 and less than 700... LOL

2200, 3.6" pulley, ID1Ks, BAP, CAI, ORH, LRing/Ken tune. Take a guess

I will have it on a dyno once my new trans and all that show up and get put in.

You can't make close 700wh with that setup, on 93. Ask me how you know this. LOL :bs:

This is why I'm interested in running meth. I know mid 600s is doable and safe, but I'd like to push it to the right if possible on meth. That way it's safe.

Honestly there is nothing safe about 650whp on the stock block. It will fail sooner or later, the tune will only make it last a bit longer. My setup made 638whp last time and I know I am on borrowed time. I will enjoy it while it last, but plan for a new block if this one goes.

I honestly think it's in the tune and how the car is treated. If you beat the snot out of it at every opportunity, of course it will break. If it's driven like a sane person it will be fine for a long time. Just save up in the meantime for that shortblock.
