Plus later on down the road if you wanna add e85 / pulley / converter and gear you will have a 9 second capable combo

Does anyone with the Paxton feel they would have been better off with the smaller Vortech?

I should hope not. Take it from the guy with the smaller Vortech: enjoy the Paxton.

PS - should you want the smaller Vortech, I have a v3si which I would gladly swap for a Novi 2200.

If sound and riding around making more air noise from a car than exhaust is your thing than more power to ya,

function over sound in my book.

function over sound is headers and a boss intake to me

That's my goal in 2 years.. Ill be happy with a 130 trap and a 10.99 on drag radials

Do you still have the 2 peice drive shaft? And over axle tubes with the resonators?

exactly my point, parts that make a difference and work to achieve what you have done. same parts I have and use. Not a noise maker to show people how loud the air coming out of my blower is going down the road!

if the stock bov is big enough, why are the faster peeps running something different or 2 of them ?

Will it work? Yes... Do I want it? No... I want a fuck you in the mouth valve, so yes stang8psi, I like loud air noises. Sue me. :nk:

I guess my entire build and dedication to creating a daily driven hot rod goes out the window because I bought a louder (and much better) valve. I must be a ricer :roflmao:

how many of you guys with the 2200 are still on your stock shortblock?

I was told by a reputable shop here in DFW that when you put a power adder on the new 5.0, billet oil pump gears are a must. they said the stock shortblock is good to 600-650 to the tire (assuming a good tune).

are any of you running billet oil pump gears? do you plan on it? or has this been a non-issue.
i started a thread on this and almost everyone who posted agreed that billet oil pump gears are the way to go.

Couldn't agree more, I put that shit on there cause I wanted the bitch to be loud. Same reason Susie homemaker put his fucking Kooks axle back on. I want every dipshits wife who drives a Prius to know when the fuck I'm around so they don't merge into my goddamn lane while I'm driving right next to them. And I can hear my MRT exhaust just fine over the BOV. Only difference now over that quiet POS max flow is every moron with a V6 Challenger knows I'm not fucking around.

Auto guys.. How does your car work from a roll? Does it snap with the program or is there some issues of the trans not doing what you need it to do..

I wouldn't even race anyone from a roll in my car unless I left on the 2nd honk it seems to lag before it down shifts..

If I left on the the third honk the car I was racing would get a 3 car spot before mine even downshifts

But I'm still bolt on with a bama tune.

You don't wait on it to down shift. You start in what gear you want. Nail it then shift it into drive. Let it shift its self at that point.
