So I have questions... I am considering putting a Paxton on my car; however, the car is absolutely my daily driver and it must stay that way. Right now, the motor/driveline is 100% stock. I want the car to be as quiet as possible - I don't even want to add an off-road X-pipe or mufflers. Stock exhaust will be retained. So here's my questions:

- Can I reach 600 rwhp with nothing more than a Paxton with the standard pulley and a Boss intake?
- Is it reasonable to believe the car can live at 600 rwhp for a long, long time? I don't really want to buy another motor. Also, I live in Phoenix so 91 octane is the best I can get.
- How long will the stock clutch last at that power level? And the rear axle? What (if any) supporting mods (besides injectors/BAP/tune) will be needed to make the car live happily at that power level? I just drive the car, and beat on it a little on the road sometimes. It's been to the track, but it's certainly not a track car.

I've read through this entire thread already, but most folks mod the cars more than just the blower.

Paul.

Its not recommended to run FI with cats unless its aftermarket highflow. So not sure if its a deal breaker or not on stock exhaust but I don't recommend it.
Im at the one year mark of 600 hp daily driven no issues what so ever That's stock intake, clutch ect ect.
So in answer to your questions with the exception of exhaust you can hit the goals stated and it will drive daily just fine. Make sure whoever tunes the car knows what they are doing. The drivability, performance and longetivity of the car depends highly on the tune.

side note...these things are a freaking blast with these kits...highly recommend it

you would be fine.

at a minimum, i'd probably do a set of the jegs cat delete pipes, you can pick them up for $200 for the stainless and like $130 for the steel.

let me know what you need, and i'll get you dialed in

thanks

I made 620whp on completely stock exhaust. I did however have the 3.6 pulley and Boss intake. Other then that car was stock.

if your pulling vacuum like the manual car, then most likely your not even creating boost. if you tee'd off at the booster, then that is a vacuum only and will never go to positive pressure, which means your bypass valve is not closing. you need to tee right at the manifold like the directions say.

Your an auto right??? Off the manifold there is a vacuum line that ties into a plastic splitter from the splittler it goes to the brake booster and the air intake pipe. You need to t between the manifold and the splitter.

What would guys do that are not running a cold air intake?? With Just open blower with a screen...

Your loosing me.. I am not using the extra equipment I don't need...

I've got a real boss intake / with a single line going from the brake canister to the intake.. And I have a fuel line purge valve going from the valve into the intake no other t's coming off a cold air intake etc..

Is this wrong? I put the T fitting for the BOV In the line that goes to the breaks..

I've only got one other place to put the T to the BOV that's the fuel line purge valve

Or I could swap back to the original oem brake vacuum line that goes from the canister but would have an open end because one side goes to the intake the other goes to the cold air intake..

What do the guys with no cold air set up do that's what I wanna do
