Fwiw, Lund tuned for 2 years and was making approximately 680rwhp with the V3 on 94 pump. Just pullied down to 3.47 and made 711rwhp.

Yes, I know I'm pushing it. What's amazing is how long she's held on, in spite of the thrashings I've given it.

I don't want to supercharge mine now! Lol! This sucks!! I don't have the bankroll to build a longblock!

Hmm... I'm gonna join Matt in the All Motor Crew!! Lol!

^ long block? Build your own shortblock. shit I have 2900 in my full built motor, including all new fasteners, bolts, cams, valve springs, billet oil pump gears, head cooling mod, oil block offs, frpp high rev pulse ring, rotating assembly, new oil pick up, new frpp head changing kit, arp crank bolt, all machine work (block and balancing crank), fluids
I am doing all my own labor!
And is going to be a 8200rpm revving all motor e85 engine with a bit of spray if I need it!

I'm feeling the same thing. Everyone's motors have been letting go recently, and I don't want to spend fifteen grand on an aluminator and a nice blower setup wtih everything. For that kind of money, I'd just sell my Coyote and buy a '13 GT500 and have 600 rwhp with a warranty.

Meh. I've had my share of built motors, and they were all more headache and expense than they were worth. If I was gonna do it, I would go the Aluminator route, and like I said, I don't really wanna spend that kind of coin.

Well the good thing is that it's going to be a little while before I even have the option to buy a Paxton so I will get a good long while to see how it plays out! I'm not ruling it out completely just getting less excited about it and am looking at building up what I currently have! $2900 isn't bad for a built motor! And I have also considered E85 since my car isn't a daily driver but I am still so new to all that! I have a lot more reading to do.

You guys have to realize that every hurt coyote is running aggressive tunes (not warranty Paxton tune) and Im pretty sure 99% of these hurt engines were pulley'd down.

With that said, the stock Paxton kit, tune, and 3.8 pulley is safe as shit. Is it 600-700whp? No, but it is 5XXwhp that has a warranty option. Just sayin.

Coyotes have two weak links when boosted. The 11:1 factory pistons/rings are not happy with boost, and the block WILL crack in the 1000hp range. Both are facts now. Learn from this, adjust fire, re-engage with proper parts and run around boosting safely with no worries. :)

I agree with gizmo5. Run the dafe paxton tune and you still will come close to 600whp.

My car lasted 23k miles. Beating on it basically everyday.

Just food for thought aluminators use mahle pistons that are imop junk.. and the rods aren't really that strong.. oh and everything else bearings bolts etc are all stock Ford's! The one thing is that they do good is valve springs. So to pay that much for sub par parts is crazy.. I can build you a longblock with better quality parts and ported heads cams and still be cheaper than a aluminator!

That's good info to have in the warranty tune! I had never heard of such a thing. That eases my mind a little. I really want 600 out of my car with the Paxton and be safe... So is that doable?
