I usually receive anywhere from 140-180 emails over each weekend. This guarantees I get A LOT of crazy e-mails.

This one.....this one, though.

Hello,
I have a 2005 Ford Mustang. It's time to replace some front-end suspension components so I've been shopping on the internet.
When it comes to lower control arms, I see stock replacements, upgraded Ford Racing units and your item as the three most obvious choices. Your item sells for two and half more times than the average price of a pair of stock replacements, $500 vs $200. I'm curious to know what you will be giving me in exchange for the enormous premium you are asking me to pay for your item.

I've been in the retail industry for over 30 years working for a mass merchandise, deep discount organization that has success selling upscale merchandise. So my view of the marketplace is focused on value. I am making the assumption that you set the price points for your retail partners because I can't find more than a few dollars difference in price between retailers. How is that an advantage for you? Doesn't it make sense to allow larger, more efficient organizations to show value based on their leverage?

Bottom line for me, I would probably buy your product if I could find value on it. But because I don't feel like I have any freedom or choice as a consumer when it comes to your product I will choose something else.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you,

I'd ignore that. I'm not about to start some long communication with some jong that obviously is a brokedick working the back warehouse of best buy, trying to scam a couple bucks off what everybody else pays. Key is to find out more about him from his email address. Then reply with references to things he will understand, and tell him that his special price is $525, 500 for the arms, 25 for technical support.

Id really like some BMR drag springs for my car but I feel they're a little over priced, I still have some used stock springs and would be willing to trade those in for a reduced cost on yours. I've never worked in retail but it seems like a fair deal to me lol

Tell him to buy some DOM tubing, and or some 4130 heat treated chromolly tubing, a jig and a tig welder, some bushings..and build the fn thing himself..after he engineers it. Then he can go into business for himself...and put BMR et all...out of business overnight.

Plan B... sell the 2005 stang, get killed in the depreciation, then buy a shiny new 2015.....then modify it.

When I sold Buick, I would have guys come in and tell me they could buy a Kia for much less. They would tell me the Buick looked nicer, drove nicer and was way quieter, but they couldn't see why the Buick cost more. You can't fix stupid.

I can't wait to either see his response, or someone find him on another forum and show him this thread. What makes your arms better than factory Kelly? What makes them better than cheap shit parts store replacements? Huh? Come on Kelly!
