I hope this is "techy" enough because this is info I would like to know before spending several hundred dollars on a part.

Does this look like it "fits"?

I know there are Boss-manifold cars with JLT's. Are you just ok with a rubber boot "band-aid"?

Yes. That's how a JLT fits the Boss. The coupler that I posted helps with the transition. You can also buy a hump hose too.

I have the "Boss specific" kit. IMO it "fits" like garbage.

waiting for the "there is no problems with fitment" or "I shouldn't and won't consider that there is a design flaw" and "I won't re-design a better or new intake" from a certain company here on the forums!

Thats bullshit.

Pretty shitty design anyway. Its amazing how crappy most of the parts for these cars are, yet they come at an astronomical cost.

FWIW, aside from the fitment, it does look great in the engine bay.

In the picture with the coupler, the CAI tube itself looks to be much closer to fitting than in the OP's picture. OP, is that as far as it sets down?

It looks to me like they sent you the Coyote tube. It won't rotate any more to point up?

JLT doesnt make a Boss Intake specific tube.

When we installed ours we slightly trimmed the air box shield below the intake tube. That allowed the intake tube to be slightly rotated to get a better angle with the throttle body.

With all the jaw yapping from Jay you think he would make a proper fitting CAI for the BOSS. After all, don't the fastest cars run JLT CAIs...

You shouldn't have to cut something, that cost over $300, to make it work.

.
Would have expected " this vendor " to step forward & offer a solution, if for no other reason than to protect his customer base.....
At least offer a refund for parts that don't fit without modifications.
.
And no !!

I think a lot of the fastest that is said are N/A 5.0s.

I thought Jay said a while back that the rubber hose wouldn't cause any disruption or turbulence in airflow so it wasn't anything to worry about.

I hate buying an expensive part and I have to make it fit.. That gap isnt even close to being proper fit. Bottom gap is too big to be an easy fix with rubber boot not to mention the kink in angle. whats the point of buying smooth CAI if it creates that big of an angle right in front of the TB? Maybe the obstruction is minimal but i would be pissed off.
