Longtubes, Off Road H, Then what?

I'm planning Pypes LTs with the O/R H pipe, 06 gt. I'm wondering if there's any muffler I could run that would keep it down a little. I know it's pretty obnoxiously loud without cats or resonators.

I want a deep, deep DEEEEEEP sound. I hate rasp.
I was thinking the borla ATAK, it sounds pretty good from what I've heard in clips.
I'm wondering if anyone has first hand experience with running the ataks with no resonators on this no cat/OR H/Longtube setup. Was it unbearably loud? I just don't want to wake up the neighborhood when I start my car or lightly coast to get out on the street. I can add resonators if I need to I guess, just curious if the atak will quiet it down at all to where I may not need them

I had the Borla Touring with resonators and everybody could hear me coming a block away. Sounded great, nice and deep but still a bit too loud for a daily driver. It was great for a toy though.

How about a Mac Prochamber to quiet it down before the mufflers?

I have pypes LT and OR H. I run thrush chambered mufflers. I dont have any issues with volume, its as loud or quiet as Id like it to be. But I do have drone. As long as you run chambered mufflers I cant see it being too loud.

For the drone I have some pypes m80 resonators to go in next weekend when its out of storage.

Heres a drag race I did, 6k shifts. Not too loud at all.

If you want a deep sound, skip the ataks. They're pretty high pitched and very loud with rasp. Kooks I found to be pretty deep as well as the Roush extremes. We have a 2010 GT500 with an o/r h pipe and the Roush extremes, its surprisingly low and sounds sexy.

Edit: Just looked up the roush axleback... sounds very nice in the video I listened to... Are those the same as a stock take off from one of the 427R ?

I think I have a new fav muffler I actually like that a lot more than the atak

Off hand I don't know if they're the same. The Roush extremes is actually a cat back.

ATAK will rasp. It kinda does with mine on stock headers, O/R H, and stock resonators. Touring or S-Type will be deep and loud with less rasp.

Borla Stingers with some in line resonators before the axle, it's pure sex and you will be hard to find anything better for what you are looking for!!

Look into the oval Magnaflows. They have that very deep tone that you are looking for.

^^^^ I have the Magnaflows with an o/r H on my daily and love it. Very deep and loud enough that I feel like I am in a Mustang but not too loud for me or anyone who has ridden with me

I took the axleback that came on my car (Roush St3/427R engine package) and mid mounted the cans before the axle then carried out to 3.5" tips in the stock location. That's with JBA long tube headers and an OR-H pipe.

On my '07 I had ARH headers and used the GTA mufflers and it sounded good with no drone. It got louder with time.
