Id do a triton swap before an LS
Doesn't do your car justice Lupo...Sounds awesome in person!
As for the LS swap.....Find something worth spending all that cash on!
Ford makes it Chevy shakes it?

But you'll have 120+ more HP and about 100 more ft-lbs of torque...Putting the motor in a mustang is not going to make it faster, because you'll have the same weight

I'll let you guys know how well it runs in a month or so...
I like the innovation! Looking good so far...way too technical for me lol.
What'd you use though to get that lighted look inside your hood?? I definetly would like to do something like that to use for shows and stuff.

Vs a stock GT yes!!! How much is it costing to swap everything I've though?
After I get it back from having the longtubes and custom exhaust made, I'll be around 3K-3500. I got the longblock for $350 though...
your wrong.. full bolts ons, minus heads, ive seen over 500rwhp plenty of times with stock internals and over 700rwhp on supercharged ones with stock internals also. much past 700 though and they use meth and the ls3's seem to really like the meth injection. not praising ls motors but your facts are far fetched
not all g8's are the same. the g8 gt has a 6.0, which from my understanding is a mixture of ls2 block with ls3 heads and intake? something like that. the gxp has the ls3 if thats the one you were reffering to
now, with that said. if you wanna swap it, do it. its not 'superior' to a coyote, its just preference. there are limits that need to be observed, just like anything else.
it would be no different than putting a 572BBf into it. its just preference. if anyone thinks the swap is cheap or easy, they are on crack. it cant be about money to have the car the way you want it.

To the OP, if you want a LS1 in your mustang because thats what you want, just go for it and make it happen. It can be very rewarding also if you do the work yourself. Just don't think you are actually going to save money doing it--there will be alot of stuff that comes up that you didn't count on, but nothing that time, patience, and money can't conquer.
take the hood off, good shop lighting
That's a custom job I had done for the Knight Rider Festival. No no the lighting in the hood scoop openings
That's a custom job I had done for the Knight Rider Festival.
The harness was made by PSI harness specifically for this application and it included a tuned ECM for $800. That, the trans, and the exhaust work were the biggest budget items.

You're getting your information from one source...try LS1Tech or PerformanceTrucks.net and do some research there as well. Just because someone makes a statement defending the LSx motors, it doesn't mean they are a 'chevy troll. nothing more'...it means that you disagree with them, nothing more.well on camaro5 where they own the cars, they are pissed that they break so easily. and we have seen H/c/i coyote's pass 500rwhp.
WHAT IS YOUR POINT?
you have no point you are a chevy troll. nothing more. you are a lost puppy. and one with bad information. the block pukes lifters, rods and pistons at bolt on/ cammed strength in camaros and corvette at 500-600rwhp.
Plenty of GTO owners have swapped to L92 heads and LS3 intakes because the rectangular port heads flow much better than the cathedral port 243's.you havent seen anything. if you had, youd know all about L92 swapped LS2's. not "i guess".
the LS2 has 243 heads. they never had L92/LS3 heads from the factory..
I agree with this post...it's about preference for me. I prefer the 6.2 LS3/L92 motors over the 4.6 3V...now, with that said. if you wanna swap it, do it. its not 'superior' to a coyote, its just preference. there are limits that need to be observed, just like anything else.
