serious question -- does the oil get dropped after every race day?

I can get two race weekends out of the oil before I have to change it.

The quest for weight reduction is getting expensive.

I would say expensive and then some.....I thought a Optima Yellow Top was expensive at $230 and I probably added weight to the car. At least I relocated the battery to the trunk.

Certainly will look very cool in your car, go for it!

I think I have the car weight as low as I can get it for now. The 60' of 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM tubing the cage is made out makes this car pretty heavy still. The car weight is 3290lbs with a full tank of fuel without me in it.

I plan on removing the OEM dash and steering column, but that will have to wait until after the next race. I think that will save me another 50+lbs though.

Removed the secondary firewall where the wipers and cabin air filter reside. I then had to extend my air filter box back 6".
It didn't weigh much, but it all adds up.

Congrats on the new sponsor. Pretty soon you're going to run out of room on your car for sponsor stickers.

Awesome work Marc! I couldn't quite tell what you had cut out of the engine bay on facebook, but now it all makes sense.

When these come out at over 8500 rpms and the car catches fire, I'm pretty sure that's bad.

The good news, I qualified #1. LOL
