Are those Yukon parts? How's the headers coming along?

Yes, they are Yukon parts. The headers are coming along slow, but progress has been made.

I picked up a suspension sponsor yesterday so I redirected my attention towards that.

I'm proud to say that Whiteline will be sponsoring my car for the 2013 season. The plan is to also have the car in their booth at SEMA.

I wish I could get a box of parts that big. Congrats on the sponsorship. That will be cool having the car at sema to.

Started installing the Whiteline parts. I'm going to baseline the car with the endlinks in the furthest hole.

I also finished building and installing the AN16 oil feed line and AN20 oil return line. The return follows along the top of the frame rail, through the fire wall, along the floor and into the top of the drysump tank that is behind the passenger seat. The feed line comes out the bottom of the tank, along the passenger floor, through a bulkhead fitting in the floor, follows the lower fram rail and into the drysump pump. I am going to build a shield that protects the lines from the passengers feet. Running the oil lines inside the car is legal for road racing but it's not NHRA legal. It's strange how the SFI says it's safe for road racing and Nascar to have the oil in the car but the SFI and NHRA says it's not safe.

As luck would have it, one of the Nascar teams had a driveshaft that was the exact length that I needed. It is built out of lightweight seamless chromoly and has 1350 series solid U-joints. It's built by Tex racing, the same company that builds the transmissions for Nascar. New, the driveshaft sells for $1800.00 but I got it for $125.00. It has three races and 546 laps of racing.

Next week I will get back on the header project. After they are done, I can start the engine.

The cowl plenum air filter showed up. I will be cutting the firewall and sealing it so that it sucks in cold air from the base of the windshield.

Why have the oil filter so high and have that feed line run across the top of the engine bay?

Yates told me to keep the oil filter higher than the pump and the tank. That way when I install the system one filter, I can remove it and check for metal in the filter without 4 gallons of oil spilling onto the ground.

I forgot all about your build it's been so long. Is the exhaust all that's left to do parts wise?

The headers and exhaust is all that's left. I have all of the mandrel bent 3" stainless exhaust pieces too.

The coolant is in the car, I have 17 quarts of oil in the tank and the system is primed. I should have it on the dyno next week.

Amazing build!!!!

Would you by any chance be racing it at Miller Motorsports Park? Would love to hear that thing in person!

One side is half done. Getting 2 1/8" headers to fit is more challenging than I thought. I should have the drivers side done in a couple of hours.
