Maximizing Horsepower for <$1000?

I've got a 2008 4.6 with a K&N filter and SLP Loudmouth exhaust system. I'm getting some money from an insurance settlement from a collision last year. Any ideas on how to maximize my horsepower and torque for less than say $1000?

get a intake/tune package from jms chip and get some 4.10s-4.30s. thats the best youre gonna get for $1k.

Here is a link for you. Get a JLT CAI and SCT tuner for $529.99 this what I got and love it. Just make sure you get the 93 octane tune though. And I think the 4.10 gears and install kit will run you about 238.99

Proper CAI with a Brenspeed or equivalent tune and 4.10s!!!! It'll be a whole new car. A huge improvement over stock.

All sounds good. Truth is, I still have the v6 and I'm helping my girlfriend supe up her 4.6L. I can't afford the v8, so I get to drive hers when I get power hungry. Any ideas as to what kind of gains I can expect with the intake, tuner, and 4.10s?

intake and tuner is around 25whp, give or take. 4.10s is a et mod, so it wont show any power increase.

btw, i dont think i could handle your relationship. i would feel like a bitch if my gf had a much faster car than mine lol. you should take your $1k and use it to trade your car in for a gt.
