Okay, so would the limiters be needed with my given setup or could you use full VCT? I already have my stock cams and a set of 26113 springs. Sorry if I am thread jacking on you Matt!

That's correct.


Use a thicker oil, my valve train was noisey with the limiters and comp springs. So i went to 10w30 for that and the turbo and it shut it right up, been running 10w30 for 2 years now the noisiest thing is the injectors now lol

You could easily use full vct still if you wanted but at wot up top your not going to be using more than 8-10 degrees retard so it makes sense to put in the the limiters (20 crank degrees).

Thanks brother! Also 19cobra93 traded me a brand new set of FRPP k springs today for the 7 good Cp pistons from the other engine.

Swap that fuel rail crossover to the back of the rails next time you get a chance, would be alot cleaner imho.


I don't run a blanket either, no issues. I use to have one but I weighed the pros and cons and decided to remove it.
