Here's a play by play for the keep it on topic crowd.
Sunday
1:30pm moved fuel line from front of intake to back of intake.

2pm discovered wideband was in the wrong place for a turbo car! Thanks to TMS, moved wideband back to downpipe. He wasted $90 for TMS not knowing their ass from a hole in the ground! I think well send them a bill Lmfao

2:30pm washed car

3:00pm repainted front bumper

That's funny right there.

Not as funny as you waking up with an LSx in your Stang!

Hi Bruce. Its 03 cobra now.

How can anyone keep up with you and your Mustangs Mr I have LOTS of horsepower....LOL.

Lmao I've been a member longer than you have!

And you look amazing in skinny jeans if I don't say so myself.

I actually really like them.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

You talking about his azz in his jeans or my azz in my jeans?

Philly chase steak and stuffed cheesy bread ftw!!!!

Philly Chase Steak is that what you ate race 1, and what Diet Coke ate race 2?

I said this on a local forum and mark tried to blast me for not knowing anything... funny everyone seems to be saying that about him now...

If you get the car your talking about you may need someone to tune it....just saying....

I can't hold my tongue anymore, TMS is a shit shop and doesn't need to be in business anymore. All you nut swingers that live thousands of miles away and think Marks word is golden and always truthful can stfu. He acts like he knows what he's talking about when in reality he has no clue! I was there when he told Matt that these new pistons would work great for his application and easily make 700 to the tires. The truth is he had no idea that those piston suck for a turbo car. His response will be yes he did and Matt just wanted a cheap quick fix. Which is total horse shit! If you lived up here you would know that nobody goes to TMS for tuning, this is a prime example why. Matt's car was their chance to prove they could tune and they failed. Then want to point fingers at how Matt must have done something.

Working on the car I found out that the wideband was on bank 2, which everyone knows runs about a point richer than bank 1. Matt was told by TMS that he had to move his wideband from the downpipe to the drivers side exhaust. Which everyone with a brain knows on turbo cars you want your front o2's pre turbo and you want the wideband after the turbo in the downpipe.

Point 2, they did not add 3-5% of fuel to accommodate for real load vs simulated load!
It's funny that both motors blew first time out on the street! Interesting

Point 3 Mark asked for donations and waved the American flag because Matt's a soldier! We are both soldiers, and Matt never asked or wanted charity! We do what we do because we love this country and I'll be damn if someone uses that to try and make himself look good on a car forum! Mark claimed that he's out thousands of dollars on helping Matt. Which is total horseshit again! Mark had the block machines which cost Matt $600 and he assembled the short block. Again stating that this motor was solid and an easy 700 rwhp because he assembled it! The only thing Mark lost was his time. Which is no where near $1000 dollars.

Point 4 Mark doesn't tune shit but I see he likes to use "I" when he talks about tuning cars! The truth is and I heard it from his own mouth, that he knows shit about tuning and it pisses him off that he doesn't know. He also said he would like to go to a class about tuning because he hates not knowing.

The whole purpose of this post is to inform people about TMS! The whole pacific north west knows about this already. It's time that the rest of the county knows about this shop and that just because a guy is a part owner of a shop with a high post count does not mean that he is god and all knowing!

The new motor and a real tuner will tell the truth!

I have to quote this one more time just to ask a question, in point one of this post it says the wideband was installed pre turbo on bank 2. Dont all turbo kit manufacturers install a bung in the downpipe for the wideband for a reason? Is there anyone on this forum with a turbo that has their wideband pre-turbo?

Marc and Andy had me move the bung to the left bank pre turbo. They said I would get screwed readings because in the down pipe I was going to not be reading the air the wastegate was releasing.

Thats assbackwards, if the wideband is near the wg preturbo/wg it will scew the readings from the increased heat and pressure. The wastegate allows for a controlled exhaust leak and has no effect on a/f reading downstream of it. It only lets the exhaust out, never lets air in to effect a reading downstream since its always shut unless your in boost and close to max boost. The optimal placement is in the downpipe around 8-10" from the turbo on a single setup. The banks dont read the same from side to side so to be conservative you want to read the a/f and tune it safely off the average of both banks. 8-10" from the turbo allows it to heat up properly while not over heating and pressurising it. If you tune it in a high pressure spot on just the bank that might be running richer than the other, your are asking for trouble imho.

Here is a quote from an in house tuning master I received via pm... due to not wanting to start a war I will not disclose names.

"I try not to bash anyone but the guy that told you to move the wideband there has zero idea on what happens with how pump cell wideband works under pressure. yikes."

That spot is also where they had the dynos a/f sensor placed

My tuner"s wideband (Mike Rousch at MAP) goes right into my wideband location in the downpipe. Its tuned from there to 11.9-12.0:1 wot a/f and runs great.

Everytime my car has been tuned it was off a wideband installed in the downpipe right where on3 and S&H kit have a bung pre installed for you. Never heard of a preturbo wb install.....

I am not an expert but, like Jeremy, my O2 sensors are installed in my down pipes, as close to the turbos as possible and my W/B sensor is just aft of that. When my car is tuned on the dyno my tuner, Mike Rousch of MAP, removes mine and installs his sensor. I have never heard of a wideband O2 sensor installed pre-turbo. This is from the AEM install instructions.

On turbocharged engines the UEGO sensor must be installed after the
turbo charger, if not, the pressure differential will greatly affect the accuracy of the unit.

Thank you, and that's exactly what they did. Tuned it balls out on the dyno off of bank 2. Didn't add 3-5% fuel for real load, first street runs on both motors boom!

I'll use an acronym from another forum:

Thank you guys... I think this has alot to do with kaboom after build 1-3

I think I was the first one to say my piece about that in this thread, and everyone seems to be hopping on the bandwagon. Live and learn :chairfall:
