Well if you aren't mechanically inclined you shouldn't be modding your car. If you dont know, ask. Otherwise it doesn't matter who provides the part, you are just gonna fuck it up. Now im not saying they havent done people wrong, but in this instance having common sense and an understanding of how parts work would have saved the guy some time and money.

I can understand product identification but the oil pump on the 5.0 says 5.0 on it. Why pint it? Put a little MMR 5.0 on the gears and you are good to put it in a labeled box with the part number on it. Unless I am missing something.

All the old timers on here know of my problems with MMR. I am with Billy, nothing bad enough could possibly happen to them, that would make up for what they have done to their customers.

if that were the case the sport/hobby would be dead this site along with 90% of the others would not exist and the world would be full of prius. People should not have to be a master mechanic just to make sure they are not ripped off or given bad parts or in MMRs case, lied too and treated like shit.

A lot of businesses thrive on selling products where the consumer depends on the seller to inform them about the product/service and what it is worth. If people want to go through life being sold a pet rock for $10k because the salesman tells them they need it, then good for them. However, people really should make the effort to arm themselves with some knowledge and a little experience to make informed decisions before pissing their money away.

It amazes me that people continue to go to transmission builders, engine builders, tuners, parts suppliers, etc that anyone with a little bit of knowledge in the area would know they have no idea wth they are doing. Yet they keep ripping people off and keep getting new customers. You don't need to be a master mechanic to know you shouldn't hydrodip your pistons carbon fiber, notice the engine builder assembling another engine without a torque wrench, not getting the build specs on your transmission before agreeing to a price, or to realize something is wrong when your tuner starts leaning your car out and adding timing to the moon.

High temp rattle can a block/timing cover, ok cool. Rattle can an internal part? Retard mode. I sharpied the hypno-swirl on my stock flywheel once. Had to touch it up a bit on the next clutch swap. Cheap ass sharpies...

I don't understand why anyone would frequent a site that actively helps businesses lie about it's products. Doesn't anyone get it? Any forum that does that isn't for the members, it's for the vendors. It also doesn't give a fuck if you get screwed as long as they get advertising dollars.

Why would a normal person subject themselves to this kind of deception? What the fuck is wrong with people?
