God that block is HILARIOUS.

I think MMR has some.good concepts, but their execution on those concepts is lackluster, to say the least.

A lot of businesses thrive on selling products where the consumer depends on the seller to inform them about the product/service and what it is worth.

So if I run a AED tune that blows up my car its my fault because I didnt monitor and check everything? You go to the doctors to get meds for a cold and instead given something for herpes, its your fault? The point being not everyone can be an expert on every little thing in the world. As always you should have some idea as you say but come on.

people color coat parts in cars all the time.. is it his fault that MMR used some funky stuff? Was it my fault for paying MMR extra for a new alum block for the short block they built me and later find out later it was used?

Blaming people for getting swindled, cheated and ripped off seems petty and sad. Put the guilt on the guilty..

word..

Thats the sad part of it all.. Mark back in the days seems nice and cool, but his "staff of fuck asses" that ripped people off.. he did nothing about it.

Can I not take a shower? If it makes you feel better, I responded to your text while I was taking a shit, quite cortect for an MMR thread I must add...

Ok that was funny

I always found MMR a contradiction. I never dealt with them, but certainly have read numerous stories about them. I have seen their cars at the track many times, (the blue GT500 being my favorite), and the cars are very nice and badass. It just doesn't make any sense.

I think some of the employees were to blame. It seems that Mark has been getting more involved and people are being taken care of.

The high dollar race team stuff was always done right. The volume motor and parts production has been suspect. I don't think people realize how many shortblocks go out the door there.

Indeed. When they put their minds to something, it ends up awesone. There are just a bunch of idiots there that screw up when not being monitored.

They make a few parts that no one else does for the Coyote. That said, there is no justification for internal painted parts. Why would I waste my time removing paint on a part I paid good money for?

Get the individual parts you need and do your own work.

Not saying its right but essentially yes. At least a doctor has a standard you can measure their credentials off of. You know they at least have some idea of what they are talking about because they have a certificate saying they completed med school. They don't pull a needle out of a dirty drawer and inject you, you see it come out of a sterile wrapper and same with the gauze to clean your wound. You know its new cause you saw the package.

A guy who has never tuned a car in his life can open a shop and start tuning. There is no Ford certification for tuning a Mustang with SCT software. There is no certification from Ford saying this part met their quality standards they hold their OEM testing too. Hell, most aftermarket companies do not advertise even an internal quality standard, because they don't have one because its all sourced parts. So you can't rely on them to say its good because they have no standard of measurement.

What wins on Sunday, sells on Monday! And, if they send you what you actually ordered, you can be fast as well. Sounds good right? What about when you get a box of shit that is not even for your car, or they try to convince you that what they sent you is better then what you ordered? Or when they try to tell you that you and your engine builder don't know what you are talking about to try to make you keep the parts they sent you that did not live up to what they were selling? I like the stuff the develop and race with as well, its just to bad we cannot buy the same parts and count on them to get to our doorstep correctly and work for our application.

Or like when they send you what is supposed to be a brand new SFI flex plate for a 5R55s and it has marks from being bolted to the crank and having a TC bolted to it. When you ask them what the hell is going on, they tell you that is from the balancing they did. You ask them how the hell they can balance it without your TC and they tell you all TC's are the same. They tell you no refunds because it's been used now from the balancing. To top it off when you can't get you TC bolted up correctly and you find out it's a flex plate for a 4R70W. That's what you can expect dealing with MMR.

Holy shit hahahahaha. That's terrible. I'm amazed there hasn't been a lawsuit of errors some of this stuff.

Because even if it is a 10g motor, a lawyer isn't worth the time and money for the average guy.
