I have a Moroso pan, and if I recall correctly, a new bung may have been welded on. I really don't remember for sure. It was shipped to Adam's shop during my engine build 2 years ago, and Mark (ChevyKiller) had the same pan. There was some discussion about that thread size, and at one point, Mark was going to take his and mine and get them modified. But I don't remember for sure if that is what actually ended up happening, or if Adam came up with a workaround. Sorry...
If it helps at all, here is what the finished product looked like.
The problem was corrected by Ford. You had to weld a new bung for the mismatch sensor back then but Ford came out with another sensor that works and fits. We had this discussion at modular fords back then. I'm banned there but if you search it up, you can find the part #'s and all the info you need. Just search 'Morosso eliminator oil pan'
Here is the part number for the sensor F5AZ-12A648-AB
you will also need the pigtail for it.. I'm waiting on the pigtail to come in; when it does I'll post the part number for that as well (it was supposed to be here Monday)
It would be nice if Moroso would make a 3V specific version of the pan with the correct bung on it. I would rather stick with the stock sensor than having to get a new sensor AND a wiring pigtail to make it match up to the stock wiring harness.
