Do you have the diameter of that pulley?
My carpal tunnel syndrome has been acting up lately.

No but I should be able to get it for you. I just have to take my car to my friends house, he has that "capiler size measuring device thingey" that I can use to get the exact dementions for you.

thanks for the support guys. i really need it atm

Look at it this way, you have a DD you can drive so if this one is down for a bit it won't leave you stranded. But I do know how you feel, it had a really bad feeling when I busted that idler pulley off my timing cover. Not fun.

thats what im trying to keep in mind matt

Trust me, my car was in my buddies garage for over a month. We only spent about 8 hours fixing the car. The rest of the time was ordering stuff and waiting for it to get in. 1.5 week for the timing cover, 6 days (there was a snow storm) for the oil filter adapter. 3 days for the timing cover gaskit (I had them before I had the timing cover). 2 weeks for my new Thrump_rrr idlers (there was a mix up with the shipping and my order got canceled). Then once everything was on and working discovered another oil leak, yep my dumb ass cut my valve cover gaskit because I was too dumb to just take the valve covers completely off. Took another 3 days for the timing cover gaskit to get in. I'm hoping that you have a much easier time getting parts then I did once you figure out what parts you need.

Oh, Ron... I am so sorry to hear this! Buck up, though, with no holes in the block, and the motor still spinning, it most likely won't be anything catastrophic...

Best of luck to you, man!

i was hoping to pull the blower and the manifold in one piece but it doesnt look liek it will happen because i cant remove the fuel rais with the blower on. the TB gets in the way on one side (of which i cant remove cause its RTV'd to the inlet and i cant even get a razor between the two) and on the driversside it hits the bypass

Remember where all those wires go? I know when I take stuff apart like that I lable where it went because I keep thinking I'll forget where something goes.

I agree completely and have a stock oil pump in mine as well and wouldnt have gone any other way.

First off - Ron - I am so sorry. Second, I am in NO WAY saying or implying that Ron had an oil pump failure and don't have a clue what happened until he tell us. My hopes is it is minor...:beerchug2:

Now, having said that, I will say that I have seen 4 stock oil pumps blow a part on built motors. The last one I saw blow a part on the dyno on a brand new shortblock built by John Mihovetz. John himself said the stock oil pump was a POS and Ford knows this and upraded the pump in the GT500.

The GT500 oil pump looks just like the 3V pump other than it says, 'ford racing' on it. This is the pump Mihovetz uses on his modular engines and we all know what kind of power he pushes. Ken is not the only other one I have seen blow a part and replacing the stock pump with the GT500 was one of the FIRST things I did after talking to Mihovetz.

Just some info for you guys...:beerdrink:

Were these on s/c applications? Maybe the s/c is pulling/putting too much stress on the pump. Either way, thats another discussion for another thread.

Hopefully its minor! good luck
