Okay so im pretty new to tuning so please bare with me!

Well i have a SCT xcal2 and a performance shop sent me a tune via email. Well the file i recieved came in a ".mtf" format , i've downloaded the "liveload" software from the sct site and notice that when u browse for a file to uplaod it looks for a ".ll3" file, correct? So what do i gotta do to make this work, call the shop back and have them send me that file in a .ll3 file or do i gotta convert it, what do i do?

Thanks in Advance for any info!

Call the shop and have them convert the .mtf to ll3

The mtf file is the source for the LL3. You can have any tuner edit that file and convert it to ll3 I'd save it incase your tune isn't 100% correct.

okay so i bought a used tuner,it had a tune on it already so i tried loading it into my car and it said "wrong veichel" so i thought maybe the seller had not un married it. So i take it to a shop they un-lock it and we put a new tune on it, i plug it back into my car again and it says the same msg :(

Im wondering cause i bought my car used at a dealership this year and it came with ford racing headers (shorties) and a x-pipe with high/flow cats, sooo im wondering if maybe the previous owner maybe put a tune on it after installing the headers (which i'd assume so) and maybe thats why its not taking my tune cause the other one is still left on??, could this be possible if so what would i need to do?

Again thanks for any info!!

I would think you have to take the car to a dealership to get the stock tune loaded.
