not only does it give hp, but it takes weight off the front of the car, so it hooks better...lol..

seriously, i dont think youll see enough of a gain to put up with the sound they make
sell them and make a few bucks

Considering the 10 lb weight savings, I believe you'll see a .01 second improvement in your ET's. Changing axle-back noise is for just that - noise - not power.

I just ordered a set of muffler-deletes (Pype Bombs) to give my car some much needed bark after my wife noted that my car sounded wussy compared to other Mustangs she's heard.

I tried it back when my car was N/A and it felt like it lost some power down low. I liked the sound but didn't like how the car ran.

Some axle backs do breathe better in the high rpm's ranges I don't see a way of saying they don't just less restriction which is good for top end, documented gains? who knows.

My wife complained my car was to quiet with the stock mufflers and off road pipe. Now with the muffler deletes she won't drive it. :) That worked.

Brian, you have a cool wife. My wife thought the car was too loud with the stock mufflers, then with GTA's too too loud. Not sure what she is going to say as my next mod is ARH LT's, cats and Magnaflow 3" catbacks with Magnapacks.

My wife barely tolerates my Mustang obsession, so I was very surprised when she suggested I get some louder exhaust. Like you, not sure what my wife's gonna think when I eventually install LT's, though.

I have no mufflers on my car. I have stock manifolds for the time being, magnaflow offroad x pipe and no mufflers. My setup works great...but i'm FI. Only downside (to some) is the sound. My car sounds like a fighter jet. I can pull into any car show and people look at me like wtf is under the hood. Then again every single honda that hears my car wants to race :(

Sheesh 10lb = .01, then MattD should be in the 6's instead of the 11's

BTW try the oil delete mod I hear its good for 1004 rwhp!

Not to mention the weight savings after the rod and side of the block are laying on the track .

That is why I love my wife! I installed LTs and a o/r H a week ago and didnt have 2 band clamps to hook up the rest of the exhaust and she loved it. Then I got the clamps and ran it with muffler deletes for about 2 days and she liked that. She is gonna hate me tonight when she gets home because I put the stock mufflers back on until I can get a set of aftermarket.
