well to day i set out to install the kit i got from Kielstang and JimC. its a zex kit, but with a nitrous express nozle. none of the install has been very hard.

i started this morning with some switches, i went to radio shack for them, they had a much better selection than the auto parts stores and were considerably cheaper. i got two rocker switches and one small momentary swich for the purge.
i mounted where the infoe center buttons would be, i dont have it so i just had the blank there. i was gonna use the blank but the switches i got would not work with it so i had to get creative. i use the tire iron holder for the stock tire iron, the plastic that was on it had a great texture that matches and was thin and easy to work with so i made my own blank and just mad it work.. here is the result...

next i worked on getting the bottle in place. i was tire of seeing them in the normal place on the sides of the trunk. i decided i wanted it right up next to the back seats. this way when im ridding around an just need to open the bottle for what ever reason i can just let the reat seat top down and have access to it. here is how that turned out....

becasue to put the bottle right there, i had to get creative with the blow down tube and n2o line because thats right where the over axle comes over the axle. but that wasnt too hard, had to shorten the tube a little but all's good.

i wanted to hide everything best i could but because of the lenght of the lines i have i just could not get it in a place that agreed with all the lines. so i put the management unit on the back side of the intake sheild.

for the purge i wanted it to purge out over my wind shield so i mounted the solonoid on the back firewall. i hate where it is so it wont stay there but i cant do anything else with it till i can get some longer lines.

Also i installed some autolite ht0's.

here are the rest of the pictures..

i have not wired anything yet. i been just taking my time with this, no hurry. i'll wire it all up tomorrow, and see about getting the bottle filled... its gonna be fun.

*not sure if this is the correct forum for this so i'm sure if its not one of the all powerfull mods will move it lol thanks*

Dammit dude, i'm like doing your exact build like six months in the past!!!! haha. I really have no plans on getting my dream turbo for a few years, so Dec/Jan, HSW plate kit here I come!!! Install looks nice man, and looks like rygens old activation switches IIRC. You're already putting up some good NA numbers it wouldn't surprise me one bit if you got into the 11s with a little seat time on the bottle. :thumb2:

Looks good Jeremy - when you get that first pass on the juice you will be addicted, the nitrous hit feels great! (I miss it every once in awhile, but I think the Xcharger whine has replaced it for me) Very nice job on the switches

The bad thing about doing the bottle like that is you may get surging when the bottle is low. when you take off the liquid N2O in the bottle will slosh around and go towards the rear of the car. you may not be able to get the whole bottle's worth when its low.

thanks, i did not think of that. this my first time with n2o maybe thats why ha. i'll try it out. i'm sure i'll have the bottle filled every time i go to the track to have a full bottle. the only time i may run into this problem would be on the street.
unless the bottle has to be emptied before you can refill it?

thans to every one else. i'm looking forward to it. i'm waiting on bamachips to get back to me on the tune situation (imagine that). but i only running a 75 shot for now.

looks good man!i got a big question for you though, and all those who are running the juice. i got the zex dual purge kit and wanted to install it where you put yours also, coming out through the front of the windsheild in a v shape, but the thing is i cant get the solenoid centered enough on the firewall because of the intake manifold to allow the metal pipes to actually reach the exit spot im trying to get...so i was thinking about looking for longer metal pipes but heard those should be kept short,so dont really know what to do,any suggestions, and more pics of the purge would greatly be appreciated.

it looks really good man.the only thing i would have done different is tilt the bottle to the side so the anti syphon tube inside the bottle points towards the back of the car.

from my understanding you wanna keep the all the line from the solenoids to the intake short as you can but the line(s) after the purge solenoid to route the purge can wrap around you car 3 times and its not gonna matter.

thanks for all your input guys, i'm just gonna move the bottle. from everything i read and learned recently i'm just gonna move it, it not like its hard to do and it will be better/safer.

J-stang do not rely or tune the nitrous kit base on the pressure of that fuel gage, mines never read correct and after a week got stuck at 80 psi.i would had to tap the plastic to make it come down to 0 psi after sitting over night.
