NA 3V Questions.

-What is the fastest NA 3V, period?

-What is the best performing intake for an NA 3V?

-What type of RPM are the most powerful 3V's seeing?

-How many RPM can the 2005-2010 ECU's handle?

-Who is building the best 3650's for these cars, for power and RPM?

7000 rpm IIRC

Hanlon or Promotion for the transmission

Hard code Rev limit is 7750
JPC intake works better than anything (currently dont have any though)
screw the 3650 and get a magnum
if you really want a built 3650 i can make it bullet proof

i have a 3v Engine here that will go 9s in the right car. It made upwards of 480 RWHP at 7600 RPM.

Never had a chance to get any good track times out of it the guy ran into money issues

So Eric, I would not have an issue spinning the engine to say, 7500-7700 with a stock ECU system on a 2005-2010?

Your intake, what kind of power is it good for in comparison to the FRPP Piece? Are you aware of the runner length, cross section, and tapers on the runners? If you don't want to share, I completely understand.

As for the trans, I am just not a 6-speed fan, on an N/A car. Heck, if it were easy to make happen....I'd rock a T45 from my buddy Zak at T45Source. I am a big fan of the T45, even though it takes a lot to make them work.

The engine there that made 480, is it a BB, Stroker, or a BB+Stroker? What type of compression and what fuel was used for that power?

yes you can spin it to say 7700 no issue but you have to shift around 7400 once you figure in the rpm flair on the shifts other wise you will be all over the revlimiter

the engine is a 302 (stock block) with RGR stage 3 heads

the compression is about 14.5-1 works great on e85

the T5/T45 would be a great trans how ever you still have to make a custom shifter, and Throw out bearing

with the magnum you get a driect shift which is worth its weight in gold. Once you drive one you will never want to go back

I'm getting a little tired of my current combo. Never thought I would like NA more than big power via Boost... It happens.

I'm about ready to do my motor upgrade and really have no idea what I'm to be looking for. I know what kind of #'s I want but I have no way to price out what I need bc there are so many choses out there three times as many personal opinions.

Absolutely go with the T56, don't waste your time trying to beef up the 3650. I might even be willing to drive mine down there and let you test drive it if I can come up with an excuse to drive to Tampa. You're only an hour away.

Eric, is that motor for sale? If so, please PM me with whatever info you have on it.

I would have to give up my current car, on 21 PSI and Nitrous, to build this NA 3V....




This car has a D&D Viper Spec T56, that has been additionally (drastically) improved and modified over the standard D&D unit.

There is nothing like, on my 80 mile trek to work, being the fastest car in sight...



While having cold AC, DVD Player, Sound System, and a great ride via IRS.

I would have to give that up for a gutted race car, with half the power, with a huge gear, that would scare the world away driving down the highway.

Correct. After I put a turbo on it, then went Auto....I decided it was too much of a race-car....then got this. Now, this is too much of a street car....
