Need to know some things about starting my build.....

Hey guys i am thinking about gettin my heads port and polished by mmr to stage 3 heads and gettin a cam not sure what stage or brand and mac headers off road prochamber, and mufflers. an suggestions and do i have to do other things in order to get the best proformance from these mods. is it to radical to do on stock motor. please help guys:highfive:

The bast question to ask is what direction do you want to go with the car? N/A? Blown? Snail?

eventually want to go blown but that will be a very long ways down the road and will start with a built motor as for now i am building it for drag and n/a

Nice i was totally looking for some good CAM specs and this popped up. But for sure after u do this ur gonna need a tune. I was thinkin stage 2 cam with livernois heads, with kook headers. but thats just me. might have to upgrade ur injectors...

Well then, I am partial to the MAC long tubes, the fit was great for me and the power gains were incredible, 22rwhp with the o/r x, and as for the cams, I would say get something that is good with a blower, can't go wrong with some stage II or stage III SPR cams.

Use anybody except MMR for your heads though. Do a little searching here, and you'll see why.

Fox Lake, or BBR would be my first choices.

i am very partial to bbr they did my tune and have great customer service but will they port my stocks heads? can someone pm more info on mmr? just curious

BBR will send you heads and you'll send them your stockers.

Ok....first: do you have any frickin' idea what a "Stage 3" camshaft profile might be or what makes up a "Stage 3" set of heads? Or do you just regurgitate this "Stage" bullshit that people toss around on the internet like such flotsam?

Second: use the search button to find the 8,175 threads on here that cover such topics as "do I need ported heads with an N/A combo" and "N/A camshaft selection".

And for blaspheming against the board by mentioning The Great Evil of the Mustang world you must make a cash donation to the board.

I second the notion ! I think every time someone mentions MMR on here they should have to donate $10 because you know damn good and well they never tried the search button .

MMR is the Walmart of Mustangs. Do not go with them. Search threads of forum memebrs and there MMR reviews/issues. You'll see where im coming from then....

Mentioning MMR is the Catch-22 of this place.

OP: Comparing "Stages" is like comparing goldfish to boobs, it doesn't really make much sense. Don't make too exceptional plans for your stock block. The success of going radical on a stock block with boost is equal to Frosty the Snowman's survivability in an active volcano. Building it now is the right choice. Look at Comp's SPR cams.
