Went to the track yesterday for a little test & tune action. I was running the Racestars on my car, but the 325/50 radials were rubbing, so I took them off and put the stock wheels back on temporarily. I FINALLY figured out how to launch the 305/35/18 MT radials, and was pleased with the results yesterday.

I made 4 passes with about an hour cool down in between runs-

#1.- [email protected] w/1.75 60ft.

#2.- [email protected] w/1.72 60ft.

#3.- [email protected] w/1.68 60ft.

#4.- All the other runs I had launched between 2500-3000 rpms, so I decided to raise the bar a little bit. I pulled the RPMs up to 4000 and started to slip the clutch, and about 10-15ft off the line I heard a VERY loud CLUNK!! For a split second, I actually thought the rear end had broken, but I think it was just the car sitting down on the bump stop. Anyway, I got off the throttle as soon as I heard it, and the pass was wasted. I wish I would have stayed on the gas though, with that launch it probably would have been a 7.2X pass.

Oh well, there's always next weekend.

Hopefully when I get the race wheels back on it, I will get in the 7.1 range, and with a race tune, pull off a 6.99.
