New best! Still no 12 :(

This past weekend I went with my local car club to Rusk, Tx to go racing at Cherokee County Motorsports Park. It was a pretty nice track but the air wasnt the best being in the high 80s low 90s. My previous best was 13.08 with a 1.9 60ft'.

My 1.86 60ft' I launched at 5K rpms with no spin or wheel hop.
My 1.82 60ft' I launched at 5500rpms with no spin or wheel hop.

I dont have any suspension done just bolt ons: long tubes, o/r x-pipe, cai, 93 bama tune, 62mm tb, cmcv delete plates, short throw shifter, 4.10s, 26x11.50/17 ET streets. I also removed my mufflers the day before so im wondering if that hurt my mph b/c ive trapped 106 even in 90 degree temps. My air filter also has about 18K miles on it without being cleaned so could that of caused my traps to be low?

We are doing another 1 of these in January so hopefully by then ill have a 1 piece drive shaft, adjustable shocks/struts, some small tires up front, and my nitrous kit hooked up. Ill be trying to pull at least 1 tire off the ground without the spray

Just keep practicing and you will probably get that 12 before you get the rest of your parts

I see slips all the time with people trapping 106-109 with the same bolt ons. I guess my trap went down though b/c of my better 60ft'?

The funny thing is my buddy was going to install my UDPs for me this week but it would of been putting more on his plate for this week so I told him dont worry about it they wont make a big difference. Arent they supposed to pick up a .1 in the 1/4? That could of just been my .03 that I needed. I all ready had my back seat out and mufflers off so i should of taken my front seat out and nitrous bottle to shave some more weight and gone back to launch at 6K

yes. Your 60ft can reduce trap speeds. The quickest 60 and ET I ever had was also the lowest trap speed.

What Hawg said, you could most likely get a few more tenths out of it with some more practice.
Get that suspension tightened up too.
