Hey all. Just posting to introduce myself as I've been reading a lot here for around 2 months waiting for my membership to be approved.
I recently found a killer deal on a 2011 GT and will be using the car as a 4-season daily driver, autocross and track day car, and eventual NASA time trials competitor. Mods that came with the car were Steeda intake and a Magnaflow Competition cat-back. It also came with a BBR tune which was not very smooth, so I switched over to Hypermotive and have been happier with it. Last week I installed a pre-owned Vorshlag StreetPro kit and like it so far, although I did not get the camber plates yet. The rear axle shifted just a tiny bit so I have a panhard bar arriving tomorrow.
Here is what it looked like the day I bought it. My friends were calling it Coyote Ugly.
And after nearly $600 in labor for vinyl removal. It did not come off easy, PO used a very low quality vinyl.
Previous cars have been 00 Miata, 04 350z, 2010 Mazdaspeed3, 240sx coupe, 91 CRX Si, and a few others. I autocrossed the Miata and tracked the 350z pretty extensively with NASA's HPDE program.
Currently I am autocrossing with the Buckeye Miata club, they rent out a go-kart track and it's a ton of fun. Next spring I want to start doing HPDE's with this car but will need to upgrade the brakes first.
