I need a turbo not a kit...

A billet 6765 or a 67HPQ. The 6765 will handle 650-7000 no problem. The HPQ has a 68mm hotside compressor vice the 65 and can support more power, but you are limited to a ported h cover which is quite big 4" in 3" out and made be hard to fit with modifications .81/.96 ar.

What i woulde do, billet 6765 e or s ocver dependign on your kit/setup and .81 ar housing on a 5.0.

Well, Greg and I got everything back together today. Believe i have a small exhuast leak at one of the vband connections pre-turbo, so will have to take a look at that. And still waiting for the 9psi spring to fix the bov since its not opening at all. Didnt want to get on it too much, but it spools noticieabley faster for sure. The downpipe hole is welded shut, quieted the car down abit and the exhuast smell is not as bad in the car now lol. Overall the car feels better/stronger with new 02 sensors, the new turbo and all the oil cleaned out.

nope, after reading a bunch of the threads about the anti surge ports i decided against them for a street car , besides they are only offered on the larger s and h covers. would not fit in the car without some modifications to turbo location/up/down pipes. the e cover barely fits now, i have only about a 1/4’’ clearance between the compressor cover and the engine/pulleys.

Thought I would share, My buddies 2000 Gt vert stock block/heads/cams homemade turbo kit 6262 billet precison turbo, 11psi, 104 octane mixed with 93, 410rhwp/550rwtq.
He ran a 11.9 @ 119mph with get this, a 1.77 60ft on nitto 555 street tires!, down at the 1/4 in fayetville, nc.

He was running a 2-step at 2500 rpms, making 1-2 lbs at the line.

Just got the wot box in the mail on friday, its not on yet. The new turbo went in friday and I am waiting on the new bov spring which is in the mail, to fix my bov before i install/test the wot box.

Should be getting all this done wed/thursday-ish lol

I also have 1.5" hole in my downpipe i still need to get welded shut. Its where the wastegate is supposed to dump back in but I have it dumped to atmosphere. That lack of back pressure downlow hurts torque and is the reason i only see a max of 8 lbs boost in 1st gear even taking it to 6800 rpms.

Thats all i get, lol, care to elaborate. I have ruled out everything else i thought it was, will know for a fact here shortly, gonna see how much boost I can build in 1st gear now.

About that, started the car today and looked/felt for the leak. It doesnt appear to be leaking. Its not smoking anymore and there was no smell, i but my hand on the vband and felt nothing escaping weird. Maybe it was gunk just burning off the pipe? Still wanna take a better look at it again on jacks though.

Congrats Jeremy! I was about to get another block off plate water jetted out for you before I read this. I had a block off wastegate plate water jetted out of 3/8" SS last week. Here is a picture of what it looks like. I installed it last night and rotated the wastegate 180*. That thing is loud as hell now! I did however see a spike up to 9psi on the gauge last night. I'm wondering why that is. It was in the 50's last night.
