I have a take of GT500 oil pump that was installed on one of our race engines. It still has the stock gears but it is "O" Ringed. The "O" Ring process helps the pump seal to the block's mating surface better and prevents oil pressure from bleeding off. Very important for high power 3V and GT500 mustangs.

$70 shipped PM me for payment details

Do the GT500 oil pumps have the billet gears in them?

No.
Just the thicker, billet backplate.
This is an excellent buy since it has been O-ringed.

New GT500 pump is $80 without this machine work.
I'd take this pump for $70 over a new one for $80 any day of the week.

Jim, interested in trading?
My new GT500 pump for this one?

13-14 gt500 pumps have the billet back plate. 07-12 gt500 does not but they all have the oring including 5.4 3v in trucks. this one doesnt have the billet back plate as evidenced by the casting stamps. this thread has comparison pics

So to get the ultimate oil pump, you need a 07-12 GT500 body for the o-ring, a 13-14 GT500 billet backplate for the strength...and a set of TSS gears...correct?

The O ring is not standard on a GT, GT500, or F-150 pump. The O Ring we have added is machined into the pump housing and a rubber O ring seals it to the block. We did this with our 5.4L Aluminum block wet sump conversions in 2005 and then incorporated it to the 3V and GT500 stuff. This is a 2007-2012 GT500 oil pump, not a 13-14 with the billet back plate.

i just rebuilt my 2005 f150 after it blew and mine had the oring groove machined in standard. the pump was trashed and the new ford oem came with the oring. my buddy is doing a twin turbo in a coupe and his gt500 pump he ordered had the groove also factory from ford. just my own personal visual experience. some may have been batched without. I dunno why I have the orings if this isnt the case.

Post 4 you state the 13-14 have billet back plates...07-12 do not. You also state they all, 07-14, have the o-ring groove. Then you provide a link which shows a GT500 pump with the billet back plate, so we will presume it's a 13-14 pump. The pump in that pic that we presume is a 13-14 pump, does not have an o-ring groove.

Also, my new GT500 pump is sitting on the counter less than a foot away from me. I flipped it over to check for the o-ring groove. It does not have the groove, either. Yes, it has the billet back plate. I can provide a pic if needed.

How much to get this installed?

Just to install an oil pump is about 5-6 hours depending. I would do it at the same time as something else like cams or new timing components.
