I think you would be crazy NOT to run the oil spec'd for the performance versions if you use your car that way at all. Mine gets Amsoil Signature 5w-50. It is the SAME viscosity at start up as the 5w-20 with VASTLY better protection when hot and run hard. Total no brainer despite the list of comments I see here. There is hardly any difference between 5w-20 and 5w-30, why bother making that baby step? Buy some protection for the same price. It isn't an accident track pack and Boss cars are spec'd 5w-50.

..the $ 1.000.000 question is - any difference between 4.6 3V in a GT vs 4.6 3V in a GT with Track Pack.... same for a 5.0 coyote GT vs 5.0 Coyote GT with Track Pack..

If there is no difference ( i.e. oil pump bearing clearance etc ) ..then we can use 5w40 or even 5w50 without headache

But I don´t know...if there is any difference inside the engine...

0w40 for vvt engines.
Supertech 10w30 full synth high milage until really high milage, than its M1 10w40 full synth high milage. I consider near 200k 'high milage'.
I change once a year, but we put less than 5k on.
10w40 choices are very limited anymore.
Bikes call for 10w40, and they get the M1 HM.
