I wouldnt do any more mods until everything gets straightened out and you KNOW for a fact that the problem has sorted itself out. If the service department was talking over you and arguing with you I would go somewhere else.

This sounds a lot like TSB 11-3-31 that was issued for the earlier 2011's. I believe that the OP's strategy code has been changed now in case he ever gets a custom tune.

I word at eckenrod ford in cullman, alabama. If you are located near there then just bring it up there and ask for chase. We will cover it no problem as long as ford doesnt turn it down

I'm sure you guys have read or heard that Ford will not warranty anything if they find you have removed or changed anything on the powertrain.

Pretty sure that would violate the Magnuson-Moss Act. They would have to prove the mod caused the failure in order to deny the claim.

The Magnuson-Moss Act isn't really worth the paper it's written on. Ford has an army of lawyers and will fight it out and what do we as consumers have, oh, that's correct we have the Magnuson-Moss Act. That act and a few thousand dollars in court and lawyer costs and we may have a 50/50 chance of getting our $400 claim fixed under warranty.

Wow ok, lets see where to begin. I went on a 500 mile trip yesturday, as i arrive at my location the SES light came on again, i had to drive back home for 400 miles or so with it on. Now im a raging human being, whats the best way to handle this, because honestly i feel like grabbing someone by the neck and squeezing them blue.

Getting close to having it qualify as a lemon. Just keep taking it in. I feel your anger though.

the odds of them actually sending an inspector out to the dealer ship over a 400 dollar claim is not likely. Now if he has a rod hanging out of the side of his block then more than likely they are going to come out and take pictures and inspect the vehicle.

Now it's on them to fix it. The fix they charged you didn't fix it, or they misdiagnosed it and they owe you money back. I wouldn't get terribly upset yet at Ford if the dealer doesn't know what time it is.

Make sure when you pick up the car you sign their paperwork and CLOSE the work order. I didn't know this and when I kept bringing it back I got nothing from VW because they said they had only made one attempt to fix. Even though they tried multiple time on one work order.

Bring it in and let them see if it has any stored codes. IF not, keep the phone handy for vid for next time. I had to do that to get a warranty on my welder. They didn't believe me. They did when I posted that shit on youtube

God, I'm sick of people throwing that term around. That warranty act does nothing for you unless you're willing to go to arbitration and make Ford cover the problem. And that process takes months, perhaps even longer if your dealer and/or FoMoCo feels like being a dick about it. During which time you're stuck with a (presumably) broken car and no loaner car, either.

If you walk into a dealer and throw the term "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act" around, it will do flat out nothing for you, especially if you've got a bunch of aftermarket powertrain parts bolted onto your engine.

In the OP's case, he needs to go to a different dealer and/or contact Ford Customer Service.

Ok so the SES has not came back on, besides yesterday on the way to the gym i was in 4th gear around 45mph, i gave it some gas to switch lanes and i heard a real noisy sputter from the engine and huge loss of power, and what do you know? The SES light comes on flashing as the cars sputter, after 1-2 minutes the SES light stops flashing and disappears and the car returns to normal. Wtf is going on with these engines and sensors?
