Hello fellas/gals, I am in the process of boosting my 14GT, and will be running a standalone. Can anyone give feedback on how well or bad some of the EPAS controllers work? I will be running AEM Infinity and they designed it to only control the Boss 302R EPAS. Yeah...really fantastic. So I will need other options as that is a $1300 rack that is out of stock. I found someone who makes an EPAS controller for our cars but he wants $750 for it which to me is a nonstarter. Manual racks (Flaming River) are in the $850--$1000 range. Anyone use the MMR controller? The price is at least palatable at an almost $400. Thanks for your time.

I can't have safeties with the stock PCM....and the Infinity will let me do stuff like traction control, boost control etc and log other inputs. Yes...such a bummer about the EPAS. I already have the ECU just trying to get this figured out. :D

Curious as to what safeties you mean.
Because tuning oem pcm on these starts with disabeling or changing safety parameters.

This thread is not really about my decision to run a standalone ECU. That is of no intrinsic value to me right now...no offence. I already have the ECU and will be running it. This thread is about input from people who have been able to control the stock EPAS without using the stock ECU. I am not trying to be rude at all, I just want the thread to be on topic.

While I understand that you’re not wanting a debate on the decision to move away from the stock PCM, you could let us know anyway.

I for one have no interest in fencing with you about it. My reason for wanting more information is because you may have a great idea/reason that could benefit me or others.

What advantages am I missing out on, because I DIDN’T choose this option when I boosted mine? Hell, I didn’t even know that was a thing!

Again, not questioning your choice at all. I just want to know, what I would stand to gain, in my boosted ‘14 GT.
