I was thinking of running the Drag Launches without the air bag, good to know I wouldn't be the only one...

LOL - I couldn't find a single person who is using them that is using the airbag too. So you certainly won't be the only one...:beerdrink:

good to hear from yah, hows the build going ?

Not worth a shit. Called Probe on Tuesday and they are "waiting on tooling so they can cut the notches in the pistons."

I am not amused.

After the bullshit in Florida, the bullshit in the office this week, the bullshit from the ex-wife, and now this bullshit..........I'm about one more idiotic statement from just going back to building my own engines. Sponsorship or no sponsorship.

I though you were doing the build even with the Sponsorship? Who is doing your build?

Well that is actually 'good' news from Probe IMO SD. That tells me they are not using their off the shelf 3V pistons in your car and doing something different. I think that's actually good news for you even if it takes a little longer...:beerchug2:

I know, Mark. These are supposedly a new design. Just a lot of things going incredibly wrong right now and my long standing patience is being severely tested. Twenty years ago I would have already lost my temper and kicked the shit out of someone and told some others to go to hell and then flipped off someone else.

I'm just having to back off the timing of certain plans and that really pisses me off. However, things were rushed during February and this is where all that "rush" landed me. Broken car and a stack of bills. Regrouping right now and trying to make sure everything is "Right" and not just "Done". The car will be fixed and everyone who helped out money-wise will be paid off accordingly. Once we're sure that the car is "Right" then we will be as good as last season if not better. I simply need to attend a few races even if I have to borrow a car so I can stay in the points hunt. Looks like Baytown Battle of the Brands and Atco NMRA I'll need a loaner. Should be ready to go with the turbo car when B.O.T.B. Virginia rolls around.

It no doubt sucks they won't let you near a rental...

I really don't understand that - I mean, come on - it's not like a rental is an 'advantage' or anything. If it was out here, I'd find you a car easy peasy...:beerchug2:

I can see/hear the frustration and just take a step back and relax. You are the one who reminded us of the sign in your dad's shop, remember?:beerchug2:

It's YOU their scared of, not your car...:thumb:

Yeah....the Ultra Street guys that I talked to don't have a problem with the rentals. Since FRPP is not involved anymore we all talked it over and they all agreed that it is no big deal. There is only one person who might shit on the idea at Baytown and I won't mention any names.

At NMRA Super Stang........no way in Hell. That's Jim's show and those are his rules. Which I can understand and in no way am I upset about it. Just something I have to work around.

Bottom line is that I've got some time to work on this deal and get it right. I've always said that the two most dangerous things anyone can give me is time and money.

No doubt...:thumb:

But I'll tell you, I don't think Jim's rule is right either and I'll tell you why...

I can certainly understand not allowing a rental for a season or even for a string of races for that matter. However, if someone is in the points chase and has a failure issue that can't be resolved by the next race - I don't in any way see using a rental in that scenario being 'bad'. In these classes, few have multiple cars and motors to work with like the 'big boys'.

I would think say, a two race limit, would be perfectly acceptable...

(or even a single time usage type of thing)
