chances are you still have an air pocket in the cooling system. I assume the Procharger still uses the 05/06 style cooling system cross over tube between the heads? If so, you need to remove the allen head plug on the LH (driver's side) of the cross over tube and let the air escape.

Everyone about has it covered above. Remove the allen plug in the crossover to burp the system and go for a test drive . If that doesn't fix it then do the thermostat. I have add the same issue from both of these things. Good luck!

I had that same heating issue long ago too.. it took 2 times bleeding the system from the cross over and squeezing hoses like they were tits. If that doesnt work I would get that term as stated. 160/170

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the responses. I'll give it a go tomorrow. Want to have this fixed before I run her at the strip this weekend.

Yeah, taking a guy I know out to the track after he began talking smack. He has a Neon SRT 4 and thinks he can keep up with me. I just gotta run it once down the track to shut him up.:evillaugh:

The temp gauge in my '05 is bad. It'll peg into the red, but the actual temp is just 198 or so.

explain please....

My old DD had an issue with the AC compressor but I didn't know that at the time. I did notice that the engine temp was higher than normal. I didn't see anything until the compressor locked up and stalled the engine at a stop sign. While trouble shooting it on the side of the road I took the belt off and the car started and ran. I was able to get home on battery and then isolated it to the AC. Once I replaced the compressor the engine temps dropped back down.

Ok let's not get all crazy on this subject. First road test it and have a laser temp gun on hand. When thr needle get up were it's over hearing pull over and check the temp of the upper and lower hose Now a good system will have aprx 30 deg diff from upper and lower hose. This is good. Now if your temp diff it too great example 60 plus diff then this means lack of flow. Either restriction or water pump not flowing properly. Restriction usually caused by a bad t stat. Now if the temp is small like 15 deg from each other and thr fans are in full blast then means ur radiator is not dropping the heat. Pluggged. Now if temp drop is good. Double check air pickets. Use an airlift or a vacuum filler to fill thr system. If that don't work the hook up a pressure guage to your cooling system and see your coolant system pressure doesn't exceed your cap pressure. If so head gaskets. These are all the steps we take at dealership to diag overheat conditions. Let me know if u need clarification on anything.

Alright, so I did a thorough search before I decided to post this. I am up in arms about what could possibly be causing this so I am hoping someone has some good advice.

I have a procharger on my 05 GT. Running 14 PSI currently on an 8-rib pulley. Lately, I have noticed that my car has been running hot everytime I turn on the A/C. Granted, I live in TX where yesterday the temp was 110. The AC blows WARM air and the car immediately starts to rise in temperature. I shut the car off, of course, before it gets too hot. The car is not losing any anti-freeze/coolant but runs hot and smells like anti-freeze. Any suggestions?

The only thing that I could think of was the thermostat was stuck half way or the water pump isn't pumping enough for the increased work. I am so lost. :dead2:

Thanks in advance for any help!

AC that starts to blow warm air is a dead giveaway. Your rad fans aren't working.

But he stated that fans come on. I get what u mean. No air flow across the condenser raises the high side pressure causing poor performance on the ac system but the PCM can also shut the ac off if an over heating condition occurs. But yeah defiantly double check that hi speed fan works. I know u said it worked but make sure. Fan should come on even with the car cold and ac on.

I think the issue is that the fans aren't kicking into high settings or something wrong with the AC system. T-stat is good. I just installed a brand new one today that opens at 160, purged the air out of the cooling system and took her for a ride with the AC on. As SOON as I kicked the AC on the temp started to rise and got about 3/4 of the way on the stock temp gauge before I kicked the AC off again.
