I am considering getting a head start in removing some powersteering parts. I already have a powersteering bypass belt, and wanted to get a head start and take out the pulley-pump part, and resavoir. Will it make terrible noises without fluid in it? Any other problems yall see?

if the belt isn't on the p\s pulley it doesn't matter if there is fluid in the resovoir but don't try to run the pump without fluid. it will burn it up quickly.
are you switching to a manual rack as well....if not then leave a little fluid in the rack and plug off the lines. this really isn't the best setup but should work okay until you swap the racks.
