cant you just put the cats on the day ya go thru inspection ?
Good info Bruce. Do any of you guys know anyone who swaps cats in to pass inspection? H pipe in and out wasn't too bad when I put the wideband in
If I lived in an inspection state that is what I would be doing.
Wow, that's a TON of boost. Maybe because it's so cold out???? What's your pulley combo on the blower again and how fast are you spinning the motor?
Are you on e85 or gas?
You may need to add in some resonators between the X and the rear axle. Stagger them slightly. I ran Borla Touring along with resonators and it was almost too loud but sounded great.

You're spinning that blower for all its worth, which is a LOT.
I forgot about the cats. That will drop a few psi. Do you have long tubes?
That sucker should be making some steam!! You should be about 650 I would think.
It'll wear off.
How can you tell when cat protection comes on?
Boost is a measure of restriction. You may have an undiagnosed restriction somewhere. This would most likely be in the exhaust, such as a plugged cat. At this point I don't think you have much choice but to pull them and inspect them for blockage, if not eliminate them.
Yeah I never figured that out to be honest. I bought the car used but it's not typical stock ones. It has ford racing stamped on them, I always figured it was some sort of ford racing axle back.
