Just picked this up at auction online. It has yet to show up so I don't know exactly what's wrong with it other than missing some parts, looks as though it had a paxton supercharger at one time? Anyone know this car?

definitely had a vortech/paxton supercharger
my bet is a blown engine... and the owner sold the supercharger, intake manifold/tb/intake to make some money back, then sold the car as is, since the engine is busted

Good freaking grief people can ruin cars.

Yes they do. This is nothing compared to some other ones we've had.

It was a repossession, so it's definitely possible that the owner grabbed the supercharger/intake and what not before it got taken. Last 5.0 I bought was missing just the intake manifold, bolted one on and ran perfect. Hopefully not a blown motor, guess we'll see.

Can't be many SBY Boss 302s with blowers. Here's one with a Paxton. Same seats, but no floor mats and no steering wheel cover (lol).

I saw that one, this one has almost 60k miles though, so unless they did some serious driving, I doubt that's the one.

i have had mine for sale for 2 years now for a similar price as that one on SVTP, but with quite a bit more work and only 4k miles on the clock... Dubai isn't a place to sell a one of a kind car... ( www.lrp.me/boss )

That's surprising nobody in Dubai would buy that car. Might be worth it to bring it back to the states and sell it?

F150 engine?

Actually I'm learning how to rebuild them myself, so as long as there is no hole in the block it should be a cheap and easy fix. Just finished my first engine rebuild and it went very well. Spent less than $1,000 in parts and about 8 hours of my time to rebuild it with new crank, main/rod bearings, 2 new rods and rings.

Not many out here appreciate the fact that it's a BOSS as opposed to a GT with a supercharger.
some have asked if it would be reliable as a daily driver, which it should be, but it really shouldn't be beaten up as a daily car...
i am thinking seriously of shipping it to the US to sell it for the right price
drop me a line if you wanna help ;)

Heres some pics after it came off the truck, didn't even have a key for it yet. Just peeled off some of the bigger sections, also a ton of the plastidip was already peeled when it showed up. I'd assume people at the auction walked by and peeled some while looking at it? Peeled the roof off yesterday just to see.

Overall, a well maintained car to be honest. They just left it looking rough trying to take their parts off before the repo truck showed up.

Pending the engine issues you may have found a nice little gem here man... should turn a good profit. I give you credit, I would've been scared shitless to see what was under that plastidip haha

It is definitely a lot like gambling, big risks but always assume the worst. I think if I went to the casino I wouldn't leave until I maxed out my credit cards.
When buying something like this I think about what's the worst that could happen? If it needs an engine, that's a few thousand to take care of. So I assume I need to spend $4,000 the mechanical part, if it needs paint another $2,000, and doing all that I'd like to make $4,000. So on a car like this I would want to buy it about $10,000 less than I can sell it for when it's ready. In this case, I'd say so far it's been all lucky. I'll have right at $1,000 in repair to have a perfectly running Boss 302 for less than half price...if my luck continues.

I bought a GMC Acadia once that wasn't running. Turns out there was a hole in the block, so AFTER we swapped the engine out it turned out the transmission was bad as well. Luckily when it comes to Mustangs parts are readily available and cheap, plus I know more about them than anything else. This is the 6th 5.0 I buy that is not running and they've only been out for what, 5 years? All 6 being in the past year. I may need a few parts cars if these keep up.

Issues have been resolved! This car is just about done. It is running and driving great! Just a few more cosmetic issues and it's ready to go!
