I added the optic armor, it was only worth about 30lbs :( was hoping for a little more than that.

Will be cool to see what it does with the 400. Front and rear glasses only for that 30lbs? Did you do tinted, if so can you PM me some pics?

Man heads up aint cheap when you start off with a street car:cheers:

Especially with a newer car, never again. It is cool to see the occasional S197 in the sea of fox bodies though :)

I went back to the track today now that I adjusted the LCAs and took the front sway bar off. The car still didnt hook.

I put a pair off 28x10.5 M/T slicks on and they hooked.

My best pass was 10.99 @ 124 with a 1.60 60'

Finally in the 10s!
The DA was 1700' when I ran so once it cools off here I should pick up some ET.
I still think the car should 60' better too.

Get that sixty ft down and you will see some 8.4s for sure. Congrats on your win and PB!

Hoping to get some motivation from you guys. This was my first time at the 1/4 mile this past saturday.. It was pretty warm and humid but am pleased to walk away with a 12 second pass.

Here is what my slip reads.

RT-.135
60-2.108
330-5.601
1/8-8.432
MPH-87.89
1000-10.850

1/4-12.883
MPH-111.31

Here is my mod list.
-JLT CAI
-SCT Can Tune (93 octane)
-275/35/19 Nitto NT555
-Roush Axlebacks

I also had 1/4 tank of gas.

So my question is this, I know i can run faster but am debating my next choice in mods. Looking at LCA's, UCA and some drag wheels with 275 DR.

I am still on stock suspension.

I think I was leaving around 1500-2000rpms at the most on this pass. I really wasn't paying much attention to that but will from now on. Here are some clips of my passes.

Thanks for any and all help.

Do you know what the DA was at the track? Probably not good as you mention warm and humid.

I went to drag times and used their tool.

Here is what it said. (Tapatalk won't let me upload pics for some reason.)

Track Elevation-530 above sea level
Air Temperature-85°
Barometric Pressure-30 inches hg
Relative Humidity-70%

Density Altitude-2589ft
Relative Density-92.64%

So that mph is pretty good considering that DA and your mods. Just need to get the 60' down, and the easiest way to do that is to leave at a higher rpm with a DR, and correct any wheel hop issues with UCA/LCAs.

I plan on purchasing some LCA's and possibly a UCA soon. The DR's and drag wheels are waiting on a good deal to pop up bc I'm trying to complete a Coilover kit that was given to me missing pieces.

I appreciate the help man! I'm excited about going back out there and trying to better myself!

I am still on stock suspension.

adjustable UCA + mount and fixed length LCA. I think you can run without the LCA relocation brackets while sitting on stock suspension, but if/when you get that coilover setup on there you'll need them.

with a manual trans, I'd go with bias ply rear tires to maximize your gains at the track (M/T ET street bias or Hoosier QTP).

Have fun, and nice runs!

TOP 100 Updated 07/17/2014

Almost hit a milestone---you have to be in the 10s to make the Top 100. Bunch of fast MF'ers in here.

I have a question, how much difference does temp make on ET/MPH?

I know that's a broad question, but does 10 degrees or so mean a few hundredths or a few tenths?

How about 20 degrees?

It really depends more on all the environmental factors. You can have a cooler day with high humidity, but run the same as a hotter day with low humidity. Temp, humidity, barometric pressure, etc, all come into play. They all have to be considered.

But, if everything else were the same except temp, in theory, you would run slightly faster on the cooler day. My car is generally 3-4 tenths faster in the cool spring or fall air than it is in the middle of the hot summer. But that's because our corrected altitude in the summer is WAY higher than the spring or fall.

As mentioned, it really depends on the DA, which is more then just heat. Humidity could affect the ET even more. Those bastards in the NE have it awesome every fall, with negative DA's approaching -1500++.

Well I could do a ranking on mph only .....

Ah, so it's a BUNCH slower as the year goes on....
