Lance was driving. We tried a 50 nitrous for the first time. We knew something was not completely right though, because it would purge only with engine off. Decided to give it a try anyway.

First run the 1/8 was a 1/10 and 3 mph faster than previous, but the car started to sputter toward the end and Lance backed off....hence the low mph for 10.3. On the second run, car died halfway down the track. By this time, there was some plug damage. That was the end of our first nitrous adventure.

The fuel safety cut off switch was the issue and been fixed now. So next time out try the 50 shot again...maybe even a 75?

Had the chance to try out nitrous yesterday, August 2. The car was dyno tuned by Lidio at Alternative Auto on August 1, using a 75 shot Zex kit. The Mustang is a 4.0 V6 Pony convertible, automatic, C&L intake, 4" aluminum Shaftmasters drive shaft, J&M LCA's and 255/50x16 Mickey Thompson ET Streets:

Conditions weren't the best, everyone was spinning despite shutting down for about an hour while they cleaned and tried to prep the track. I was car 229

i have made big gains (LOL) so here is my latest.
11.426 @ 118.92 1.63 90 degress and high humidity that day. (I see THUMPRR had 11.427 so I just barely squeezed past him)
I think I only gained .04 on my previous best run.

Hopefully be able to knock off a better run next weekend cause I just turned up the boost to 12 PSI from 11 (11? Spinal Tap)
