New bests for my '07. [email protected]. I'm confident with some more tweaking of the 2 step, I'll be able to hit 12's. Anyone have any clue how many, if any, people have hit 12's with 3.31's and no forced induction or cams/ported heads? I'm really getting this car dialed in. Out of the 3 people that have raced our '05, I still hold the fastest time in that one of 13 flat, but that one has 4.10's. I can't throw down 10's and 11's like you guys, so I gotta take my victories where I can.

2007 Mustang GT 5 Spd manual - C&L Racer intake, SCT XCal2 with Bamachips 93 octane race tune, Steeda UDP, Steeda CMDP, Pypes off road H pipe, MSD 2 step, PMP line locks, M/T ET Street 275/40/17, J&M lower control arms, BMR anti-squat brackets, BMR adjustable panhard bar, BMR adjustable upper control arm, stock 3.31 gears, driveshaft, transmission, and all internals.

Man those are really great numbers for the setup you have! Good job!

Are you sure about the 3.31's? I have an 07 5spd and it came with 3.73's. If your trap speeds were about 107 I would say 12.8's for sure. It is real close though. You do some 4.5k - 5k hole-shots and hook up to get that 60' down into the 1.8's and you will do it for sure.

Good luck chasing the 12's with your current setup!

Yeah, he will be in the 12's couple less mods here and 12.83 best to date.

Ford started putting in 3.73's? when?
3.31 is standard for 07's
3.55 was a payed option, changed from 06.

Your trap speed indicates more is in there, and a convergence of good air, good tire pressure and good launch should put you right there. Cams gave me 3/10s as I recall...

Yeah, I gotta turn the 2 step up. I just went over the video and notice I'm still bogging. Not nearly as bad as before. I'm sure if I crank it up to 5300-5500 and play with the tire pressure, I'll be able to do it. The last launch was at 4900. As I said, they were just too busy to be able to get it dialed in. I might lean it out 2% to give me just a bit extra punch.

Hum, the car's I have seen have 3.55's in the auto's and 3.73's in the 5 spds. I know I had 3.73's stock. When we pulled the R&P to do the 4.10's it was very clearly engraved in the side of the ring gear.

Then you have some sort of factory misfit. In 05 and 06, the autos came with 3.31s and the sticks with 3.55s. Starting in 07, they all came stock with 3.31s, and 3.55s were an option you could buy.

Most rear's have a plate welded to them that give you the type and setup info. Later today I am gonna climb under the car and see if there is one (never paid attention before). If there is, I'll take a picture of it.

Yep, they're right.

2005-2006 Manual 3.55
2005-2006 Auto 3.31
2007+ Manual 3.31 (3.55 optional)
2007+ Auto 3.31

I'm not even sure how you'd get 3.73's, because they shouldn't have even had 3.73's anywhere near the S197 assembly line until they started producing the Bullitt.

Here's the sticker on my rear diff.

I guess I am wrong about the "norm" for these cars. Wouldn't be the first time.

Still waiting for mine to come home, but that sticker is what I was talking about. As soon as the wife gets home, I'll shoot a pic.

I wish I still had the R&P I pulled, but I gave them to a 2x4 Jeep owner who had done a junkyard 8.8 install and trying to go from 3.08:1 to something to turn 33" tires.

New Best at Fun Ford Weekend Epping NH

I ran my car at Fun Ford Weekend in Epping New Hampshire this weekend. It was a great time as always when you get to the track with some good friends. The weather wasn't all that great but it turned out for some good fun anyways. I made a qualifying pass about an hour before the rain came down.
My pass looked like this;
60'......1.688
330'.....4.787
1/8......7.282
MPH....100.85
1000'....9.481
1/4......11.310
MPH.....126.49
Temp was 87.8, Humidity was 40%, Altitude was 2589
Here was the pictures from the starting line..

As you can see I was hanging the 20" wheel just a bit and thought that was pretty cool. My front Bogarts should be here real soon and then I hope to catch her up a little bit higher up with the tire.
Anyway, enjoy the post and as Always it was a great time hanging out with the JDM Team..

The mods now are;
Roush TVS blower kit
Roush TVS CAI Kit
Kooks long tube headers with x-pipe
JDM Tune
FRPP 4:10 gears
Detroit true trac
Spyder shaft, i piece driveshaft aluminum
Steeda larger heat exchanger
15" Bogart wheels in the rear with 275/60/15 MT ET Streets
And that is all I can think of..

Very nice!! Awesome Pic!! Looks like the track had some good bite to it.

And does that right rear tire look a little wacky?

Don, I think that is because I took a picture of the picture. I think it streched it some in the process.. thanks as the original picture it is straight..

Great picture. You should be in the 10's with that mph! Are you lifting the wheel like that with only a 1.68 60'? Mine looks like that in the 1.4X's---I couldn't lift the wheel at all when I was in the 1.6X range.

Huge mph increase vs you previous best on the list. What did you change? Looks like you picked up 80-100 horsepower.
