Hey gang my passenger seat is stuck in the very forward position making it damn near impossible for anyone to sit there. I've did a bit of searching on the internet looking for instructions on manually moving the seat back but haven't found anything. I also did some looking about replacing the motor that's when I came across a video on YouTube where in the guy said the the seat track unit is NOT serviceable !!! OMG Ford what where you thinking you obliviously had money on your mind with that move. SO can someone tell me if there is a way to manually move this seat back ? I known it's not usual to have power passenger seat but my car does and there both heated also making finding a used seat track a bit of a challenge. So if someone knowns where I can buy a used power passenger seat track I'm be grateful as a new one cost over $650.00.

First, make sure the motor is getting power, using a test light.
If the motor IS getting power, tap the motor with a small hammer while holdimg the switch to move the seat back. This should work if the motor brushes are worn. May even work for a while.
All else fails, remove seat and remove motor if possible. Slide seat track, reinstall motor.

OK Gang since posting my plea I have since removed the seat to inspect its components. I checked the rods to see if they had rust on them as one persons video suggested, I checked the track to make sure nothing was binding up and I checked the wiring for cuts and bare spots. Finding nothing Amis I then broke out my battery charger connected two pieces of 16 gauge wire to it and probed the two connectors for power & ground. Doing this I was able to see the seat track move forward and back while doing so I noticed the rods were uneven with one side coming to full stop several inches before the other side. Knowing this I think my seats issue was it got out of alinement most likely because one of the plastic gears is worn and slipping. Once it got to far out of line the seat track got into a bind and wouldn't move. I have reset the seat track and reinstalled the seat leaving the main connector unplugged so as to avoid having to do this all over again. I mean its in the full back position so anyone riding in the passenger side should have plenty of leg room and no need to move the seat.

Nobody uses motor brushes these days, they are all brushless dc motors. Plastic gears, WTF ?
SS gears wouldn't cost much more. While on a rant, they shoulda galvanized the entire underside of the car. It's all this nickel and dime crap that pisses me off. For an extra $200-$300 they coulda eliminated all the mickey mouse BS on these cars.

OK So I took the DRIVERS seat out today and attempted to fix the Lumbar support using a fix I found on Youtube. After removing the seat and pulling up the seat cover off the back part of the seat I found that as the video said the Spring was broken. I fix it using a hose clamp as done in the video reinstalled it and put the seat back in. AND It STILL doesn't work the motor runs but the seat does not inflate or de-flate. I'm open to ideas if anyone has any. At this point I'm think maybe the gear inside the motor which I read somewhere are Plastic are worn out and the motor shaft is just spinning. I've check around and the while assembly is like $90-100.00. Plus I've have tp take it all back out again so I"ll just have to think about how bad I want lumbar support.
