I read your Post on another Site last night about this on going situation.
(Don't recall which Site)

Well I cannot decide to either go with an Auto or just wait and go with the
New T56 Magnum from Tremec.
The T56 Magnum seems to be the (Safer) choice over Built 5R55s Trans.

I would have liked to have read where owners with 500 RWHP & 500 Lbs. Torque were Happy with their TCI Super Streetfighter Tyranny's.
There were a Few but not Many.
And the other thing that really bothers me is that not hardly anyone actually drives MILES on the Street with the Built TCI's.
I want to drive mine anywhere I choose and Jump on the Go-Pedal whenever I choose.
Going to a Drag Strip and making maybe 4-6 Passes is one thing.
But driving on the street thousands of miles is a different deal for sure.

May just take what appears to be the Safer choice.

Just speaking for myself on your situation.
Sorry

that this has been going on this long.

I'm looking forward to Seeing & Reading your Post once you get this reinstalled.

I'm still considering this for my ride.

And I do Appreciate your on going Post on multiple Internet Sites about your situation.
You have been very Matter-of-Fact about what has taken place.

I have been reading your threads as it pertains to TCIs quality and customer service and I couldn't agree with you more. When I had problems with my TCI Super Street Fighter and Street Fighter T/Cs all I got from TCI was excuses and empty promises. Best thing I ever did was switch to a PI triple disc converter.

PS: I now have both of those TCI torque converters planted in my back yard so that every morning I can go out and piss on them.

TERRY. I saw your car at Brenspeed last week!!
You probably saw my orange turd sitting there too..lol. It's still there waiting on a couple parts from Ford. I should be picking it up this next weekend if all goes well. I saw Terry's car there when I dropped mine off, it is a sweet ride! I'm pretty sure it's clean enough to eat off of any part on it.

I'm calling Circle D next week about a convertor!!!!! TCI is still SUPPOSEDLY waiting to build my replacement convertor???? Been almost TWO DAMN MONTHS!!!! Originally they said....put it in front of the build line.....ahead of store stock...etc. Every excuse since then.......NOW Thursday they told me they are 700 convertor/trannies behind??? and will NOT put this warranty/fucked up piece of shit replacement ahead of anything?????? They said have NO idea when the convertor will even be built...mush less shipped????? WTFFFFF????????????? Sorry to rant...but i'm sooooo freaking tired of TCI....you wouldn't EVEN believe it!!! If i lived closer..i'd be cammped in their front office doorway EVERY DAMN DAY!!!!!!!!

Hell Brenspeed is tired of them for not being able to get parts from them. They have used some Circle D convertors with great success they said. I'm calling TCI Monday and telling them i want them to buy me a Circle D and have it shipped directly to my house!!! We'll see what happens next??? Maybe my attorney will be contacting them after all.....

So if TCI is finally making everything right is this a green light to give them a try or still stay away? Are there a lot of people having problems with them or honestly 1's a 2's?
STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM TCI.....!!!!!!!!!! I'M NOW GETTING A LOAD OF BUJLLSHIT....INSTEAD OF THE REPLACEMENT TRANS/CONVERTOR THEY PROMISED ME ALMOST TWO MONTHS AGO!!!!!:mad2::mad2:

I would like to know how this ended up ???
I'm asking for a reason and it is not because I have nothing better to do with my time.
Additional information would be very Appreciated on how the New TCI and Converter worked out.

Terry
Terry. I most likely will NEVER know...since NOW........ TCI is feeding me bullshit....they have NO idea when my convertor will be built or shipped!!!!!

I can't say how my stuff is going to work or hold up because I won't get my car for a couple more weeks. Anyways, running oem 5r55s, TCI billet servos, and PTC converter (10" billet 3000 stall) with a hardened input shaft. I'll let you know how it holds up when I get it back and get some seat time.
Hey..iusn't your car at Brenspeed geting converted right now???? Thought i saw it last week up there! NICE looking car!!!

The new clutchs were just made available in November. You could look at the serial ## on your trans and probably fine out the build date from that.

so the tci converter is "the" shit or "the" super street fighter trans ?(or maybe both???) cuz I got confused right now however, I'll order it tomorrow from Livernois (3000RPM stall & ssf trans) >>> I believe it will be great on street setup right? (I'll never launch with it :) )

and if it's not what's the other choices ?

and what about "The new clutchs were just made available in November" should I check it with livernois too ?

thanks

UNICORN....Since TCI had had this exact transmission AND convertor apart and "rebuilt" them TWO times already in less that 2,000 miles...what dou you think?? I'm sooooo damn sick of their shit!!! Two months ago when the fellow on the phone told me they WOULD ship me a NEW tranny AND convertor AND pay installation AND send a case of fluid..i was feeling better...BUT....the buillshit is getting DEEP now!!!! I'm gonna call them and SEE what happens when i tell them i want them to BUY me a Circle D convertor and ship it to me....along with the TRANS that is SUPPOSEDLY already built/waiting to ship....we will see....This is gonna get UGLY..i'm afraid!! Laywer...etc!!!!!
