Still collecting parts. Crank and rods should be here in a couple weeks, still saving up for the block--which I should be able to get in a couple weeks now that the whipple and the trans is sold.

I think I might get the FRPP A460 block instead of the eliminator block, as the A460 block can go to 4.600 bore vs the eliminator at a max 4.500 bore.

No, I decided to have a local guy build the longblock who builds engines for some PSCA guys--that used to build pro stock engines in the past. I will be running Kaase's P51 heads complete, the T&D shaft mount rockers he offers, and will see what solid roller cam he recommends. But its going to be put together locally. This same guy also will put it on the engine dyno before being put in the car. I am shooting for 950 engine horsepower, and probably 800 ft-lbs of torque, all N/A......with a small 150 shot in reserve for Chevykiller.

Ok, finished the fuel cell mounting today, along with the sheet aluminum. Here is a pic of the final mock up before I put the sheet aluminum on.

FuelCellMockUpDone.jpg

Now with the aluminum in place, now it was time to bolt everything in place for the last time. I have to screw down the perimeter with sheet metal screws also.

Here is what everything looks like underneath. Everything is still dirty, I need to clean up everything with some SOS pads. You can see the sump of the fuel cell goes through the aluminum floor, and you can also see the bolts I have that go from the L brackets through the frame rails. This thing will not go anywhere. It is rock solid.

Here you can see the fuel pump mounting bracket. This is where I am going to mount the A2000 Aeromotive pump and filter. I will be routing the return and vent through the sheet aluminum via bulkhead fittings. I will also have a Y block that will let both outlets drain into the #10 line to the inlet of the fuel filter, then pump.

Next weekend I will have the entire fuel system in place, the vent, return, fuel lines, fuel filter and fuel pump. Everything else will be cleaned up and it should look pretty nice.

Yep, definitely---I am going to get it welded when I take it to the shop to get the bar changed into a cage and certified.

Rear suspension will utilize a 29X12 inch slick, solid mount BMR LCAs and UCA (which I currently already have and have used to a 1.412 with 604 rwhp). I will have a 35 spline spool with a currie 9 inch rearend and 4.10s. Not that it really matters, but its 950 engine hp, so don't really know what the rwhp will be, but the torque is going to be awesome.
