Did you already ship out the hurst handle for fabbing?

Cam, what kind of adapters do you need for your exhaust? I just picked up the JBA headers on sale but they have 3" collectors and a 3" H pipe. I bought these to adapt them to my stock OTA pipes. I'll just trim the pipes down to the appropriate length.

Summit has them cheaper but didn't have another item I needed plus they charge for shipping. Ended up easier for me to just order everything from Amazon.

No, I didn't realize MLK is a national holiday and the post office was closed, and today the snow forced me to keep inside instead of dealing with idiots on the road.

I'll drop it off tomorrow probably.

Me too. I feel like I have a couple more turns before the home stretch though.

Ordered a couple more things today -
*Alternator/Battery Harness
*Misc Hardware for the transmission flange
*Bellhousing hardware - Going to install transmission this weekend

C&R HE and Radiator should be here next week and then I'll finish mocking up the coolant lines, and engine bay. With some luck, the fuel pumps should be ordered soon and we may have a startup in the near future.

Who doesn't? Lol

Did a little work today -
*power steering line hooked up
*swapped out the fuel line to the GT500 one
*removed stock trans flange and separated it from the vibration dampner, and then installed the custom flange for the CF DS.
*Started the install of the Moroso battery box, drilled some holes etc.
*Installed 170* Tstat

At a stand still for the time being since I need the transmission cross brace still. It's on order and should be here Monday. The radiator should also arrive Monday which will let me mock up the front end some more, install radiator/ac condensor/fan shroud and then the coolant hoses.

Still haven't purchased a gauge setup... I wish I didn't need one but I do lol. Looking back at a single Aeroforce gauge with boost/wideband, may just conceal it somewhere.

I was looking at the Aeroforce Interceptor for mine aswell^ The fact that it has most of the features in one gauge and you can conceal it in air vent

I bought one for my 5.0, they are badass. Well worth the money.


Cam, I think the shifter arrived at my place. I'll take a look at it tonight.

Also, send me a PM with specs. I know you want a 5/8" rod but how about length?

I don't like the vent pod. It's too "in my face" lol. Ill figure something out.

Some pics from today. Nothing too in depth.

GT500 Power Steering line. As you can see it has an additional bracket on it that actually mounts on the power steering rack, unlike the GT one. The bracket that would go on the OE K member is now pointless to have. I'll be grinding it off.

Stock GT Line

Decided to install the flange adapter. Needed to take the old one off first, and the vibrating dampner. It is fixed to the flange and I had to remove it first.

Pressed out the flange from the dampner

Separated. That dampner is heavy as hell too.

Mocking DS adapter to flange

With some loctite, the adapter is nice and snug

Flange is reinstalled on the shaft.

Nothing too exciting, but I am very anxious to run the CF driveshaft.

Worked on the car a bit today (instead of taking lunch).

Transmission Brace came in (along with the rubber isolator and bolts). I mounted it up to the transmission. I'm just looking for a clutch alignment tool now. They all seem to be MIA in the shop.

Radiator was delivered to my house last week and decided to mock it all up. It was a take off from a 2010 GT500. Snagged it for $50 to my door. Looks brand new.

Another notable upgrade, I installed the 2013 GT500 fan shroud.

Found this neat feature of this fan shroud. It has 4 flaps (2 on each side) on the lower part of the shroud for by-passing air when the car is moving.

Radiator and shroud installed.

A/C condenser and power steering lines installed.

Upper radiator supports reinstalled.

Installed one of the many spagetti clusters of coolant hoses.

Hoping to get the clutch aligned later this week, and I'll have the transmission all bolted up too. Haven't heard back from the powdercoater, but I'd expect the covers to be done late this week or early next week.

The C&R HE should arrive this week and I'll get started on mocking that up. STill missing some coolant hoses, but no big deal. After valve covers are reinstalled, everything else will started to be buttoned up.
